My daughter wanted a train for her 3rd birthday and this was perfect! I was worried about the quality based on some of the other reviews but it has been a few months now and it's still working fine. I wish the musical track had an on/off switch because the repetitive singing gets old fast. I took the batteries out of the track so I wouldn't have to hear it anymore.

This is a cute train. It has a lot of features. Be careful to read the description. It is a happy birthday themed set. The train plays happy birthday song and there is a birthday puzzle. My daughter got it for Christmas. She didn't mind but I may have chosen something else if I had paid attention.

We bought this for our daughter's 3rd birthday so that she would stop stealing our 4-year-old son's Thomas Trackmaster train set. Now he plays with her set more than he plays with his, and it is easier to assemble than his is. We are actually getting the TrackMaster adapters to connect his tracks to hers and buying additional track sets like this one. The only complaint that I have is more specific to the roughness of my kids on their toys, and that is the powered engine. It doesn't seem to be able to make it up the hill of the expansion set, and I don't know if it just isn't strong enough, or if my kids have started to strip the engine because they can't seem to just turn it on and let it ride without pushing it forward.

This train track is great, my only complaint is when it arrived the box was broken and taped closed. It is a gift and the box was going to be used for storage. I don't have time to return it now since Christmas is only a couple days away.
