Had these for a week now...seem to be descent quality and are completely adjust able from super fine to very coarse grinds for my salt and pepper.
I have not had any failure of the mechanism as reported in other reviews but I will be watching for that and update if anything changes on that point.
These are a dark brushed nickel color and not gunmetal as advertised. There is a decidedly brown color to them. They are still nice quality and style so not a huge deal breaker but worth noting.

Don't clean them or they wont work!

I lightly rinsed the bottles and grinder heads by hand with lukewarm water. Then the grinders would not work at all. I live in the desert just outside of Las Vegas with very low humidity and let them dry overnight.
I see in the supplied leaflet that rinsing the grinder is not recommended. Why on earth would you ever want to put a food product through a device, especially one from a factory somewhere in China without cleaning it first?
They are exactly what I wanted appearance-wise but functionally useless if you can't even clean them!
I wound up disassembling the heads and left the various parts out on a dry towel over night.
Now they are working. The adjustment is so-so in my opinion. I can't seem to get them to put out coarsely ground pepper at all, just goes from fine for super fine.
I'm not sure I will keep the set even though they look great. I also wonder if they will work at all in a high humidity region such as Florida being as they are so sensitive to moisture.

I like the function, look and feel of this set very much. The hardwood base that comes with it is a real plus. My only criticism is that the tops need to be removed in order to use the grinder. I discovered that while using the product, I don't see how it could be done any differently; but somehow I wasn't expecting that when I first purchased them.

I've had this for about 10 months and I waited to do a review to report on durability. I've had so many that were junk, this is holding up pretty well. No issues yet. It's an attractive set. The lids are a little cumbersome, however you don't have to use those if you don't want to. They do add a sleek look to them. They seem to do the job, look good and hold up to the test of time. Isn't that all we want?

I like these grinders. I searched for grinders for a long time and decided on these. There seemed to be mixed reviews on every pair I looked at so it was kind of hard to choose, but I landed on these. I love everything about them, but was a little disappointed when the cap to one of them came apart (last photo). I really just need to glue it back together but I think if a product has true quality, it shouldn't fall apart so soon after receiving it. But it's an easy fix and I love having fresh ground salt and pepper. It makes food taste 100% better and it will save me so much money in the long run now that I don't have to buy $6 McCormick disposable grinders. Honestly with how mixed all the reviews for other similar products were, I suspect any other brand wouldn't be any better than these, so I'm happy with this purchase. They are stylish and I love the little wooden stand it comes with. Makes it easy to transport from the stove to the table. Overall I think these were worth the money and would recommend.
