They are great for smaller house plants and clip easily to the side of desks, window sills, or the top of a short bookshelf like where I have mine. I like the timer feature because I don't have to worry about manually turning it on everyday. The three different colors to choose from is good too and you can manually adjust brightness. The only negative thing I have noticed is that the brightness of the lights flickers a bit on its own. If I lightly bump it while plugged in, it dims a little, or on its own I will see it flicker and vary in brightness from time to time. If I mess with it a little it stops and its not too big a deal to me, but just keep that in mind when deciding to purchase. Overall I recommend.

This is a great clip on grow light. Two independently adjustable heads. Easy to use timer/switch with four different lighting modes and four pre programmed time periods. I'm reviewing this while buying a second. I'm in Florida and can't grow lettuce that doesn't taste awful from the heat. I can grow it just fine, it just tastes absolutely horrendous because of being outside. So i decided to see if my 72â°f house with a nice sunny windowsill and a grow light to supplement would help work my lettuce growing endeavors.
I'm buying a second light, so yes it worked. Didn't notice my electric bill budge, it's maybe a dollar a year in electric if it's on 24/7.

This has been great for my indoor plant this winter. I use a lot of green onions so I prefer 5o just grow some in the kitchen. Unfortunately I live in a basement with only 1 window that gets sun and in winter even it doesn't get direct sunlight. My green onions kept dying, but they're easily replaced with new ones from the produce section. I finally got this lamp and my onions are growing so fast! It's perfect. I know it's helped a ton. The plants are just in a cart in the corner of my kitchen so this clipped on nicely. My only qualm is the time goes 3hrs, 9hrs, 12hrs... Where is 6! Also you can't set the timer it's intuitive only. So if I want it to start at 7am for 9hrs then one day my butt has to be up at 7 to turn it on and from then out it remembers. OR people are impressed with it and want to see the 3 different lights. If I randomly turn it on at 7p now the timer has changed. Otherwise I love it and the timer isn't a deal breaker but a little annoying. Once it's setup it nice to see it's already on each morning carefree

This is exactly what I was looking for, for my office plants with no natural sunlight. I had the stick-in halo lights and they were such a bright white that they gave me headaches. I love the soft white color of these. I will say that they aren't very bright, the photos are without the light on and with the light on on the brightest setting. I can't speak for how well they're doing for my plants because I've only had it for a week but I'll post an update down the line. If the plants need more light I'll buy another one to supplement, the price is more than worth it to me because it doubles as a soft warm white desk light. I couldn't be happier with it.

3 week update: Couldn't be happier with these lights. I leave the natural white color light on while I'm working and when I leave I put them on the purple light with the timer for 3 hours and they've been responding really well. My plants have been having a lot of growth and they get no natural light at my desk. I still wish they had brighter settings but overall super happy

1 year update: these lights are still on and working! The timer gets earlier and earlier every day though. It's set for 12 hours starting at 7:30 in the morning. Every week and a half I have to turn it off and turn the timer back on because it gets to turning on at 5am and turning off at 5pm. It I don't know the exact interval but it gets earlier and earlier every day, still on for 12 hours but annoying. Overall the lights are great, but need to be ***much closer*** to the plants than in the above pictures. Many plants didn't do well and a lot died because I didn't know that they needed to be much closer to the plant lights to have any effect on them. The more you know! These grow lights were perfect for my plants. I had a terrarium that was not getting enough light because of my house's lack of natural light, and my succulents were getting really spindly and sad. I gave these a shot and it worked out really well! My plants started to grow way better and even faster.
The clamp is very sturdy and held very well to all of the surfaces that I tried out. The timer worked well and was easy to figure out. The cord was long enough so that I didn't have to move my plant stands closer to an outlet. The stems are very bendy which was good because I could angle them however I needed.
The only cause for taking off the last star is that I wish the stems were a bit longer so that I could spread the two lights apart more to hit different plants. I ended up gathering my plants closer together so they could all get light, but it would have been nice if I could have angled the lights higher so that the light could spread over more of my little plants.
