I bought these back when the US authorities were saying not to wear masks because masks were ineffective, but I wanted something anyway. I read that they were just thin material tubes, and they are, but they help hold down the actual masks I have now that can gap at the sides, an extra layer doesn't hurt and the fact that it's thin is actually good because it holds down the other mask without making it harder to breathe, and I've washed these a few times by now and the color doesn't run. Plus I can wear an extra one around my head to keep the hair out of my eyes, which helps me keep my hands away from my face. I'm pleased.

These are soft and comfy to wear. Doesn't squeeze head like some buffs do. I gave 4 star because these are translucent. I bought these to cover my balding head. I have to wear two, one inside the other, to hide the visible evidence from showing through. With this knowledge I will buy again (they're that comfy), but in pairs so I can hide my head properly.
