The litter that gets trapped in the little holes is easy to put back into the litter box but it doesn't eliminate the problem of litter getting scattered around the floor. If your cat is kind enough to wipe its feet upon leaving the box it will be perfect for you, and I think the texture does help to clean some of the litter off their paws regardless. But if you have a fur baby like mine, who likes to dart out of the litter box like it's on fire, its feet will hardly touch the mat and you will still have to clean the floor regularly. Still, it does as good a job on that front as any other floor covering would do and it is easier to pour the stray litter back into the box than if you were just using a throw rug or something similar.

I'm honestly only giving it 4 stars because I feel like our cat's opinion of it matters too. It works well as far as catching litter, although it is a little bit difficult to pour the litter out of it without pouring it everywhere. However, our cat has a vendetta against this thing. I don't know if the honeycomb design hurts his paws, or maybe he's just mad that he can't scatter litter everywhere, but he is set out to destroy this mat. It does a good job of holding the litter though when he does leave it alone, and it's held up pretty well to his destruction.

This does a fantastic job of catching litter from my precious cats disgusting little feet. It's held up very well in a high (cat) traffic area and it's been fantastic. It's waterproof or resistant at least, keeps your floors dry and safe. I cleaned it after a month or so by spraying it with and all purpose cleaner and hosing it down, let it dry and it looks good as new. It didn't look overly dirty in s month but I wanted to test some cleaning methods so when it's time to clean I know what to do! I had been vacuuming up litter tracks and I feel like that will damage the vacuum over time, plus is kinda gross to track that through the rest of the house. This has been fantastic to just dump out when I clean the box daily. It does not stick to the floor, so you may need something to tack it down or it will slip slide around!

Out of all the cat litter mats I have used over the years, this one is my favorite. The litter gets trapped in the mat, and I vacuum up what is trapped in the mat. Unfortunately, this mat does not trap all of the litter. I buy the silica gel litter. So, the litter is everywhere else in my home. 🤷"â'€ï¸ But, maintaining the area for my cat to use her restroom has been so much easier for me!
