The slope of the threshold and the length of the ramp.

It didn't work for me because the slope is too steep and I cannot manipulate the wheelchair safely. I have to return it. It's easy to use and not too heavy.

I think it's a great ramp if you don't need to transport it often. I found it to be too heavy for me, and awkward. I'm a reasonably strong woman, but I have a shoulder injury. I took it out of the box, twith my good arm, and immediately realized it wouldn't work for me. I needed it for loading a mobility scooter in my suv. The individual scooter parts when broken down seem to weigh less. It would be great for a strong person, or if you didn't need to move it often.
Must add screws at the top of the ramp.

I am very pleased, as this greatly simplified transporting of a disabled person in my family.
I've been using it for 10 months now and feel it's very sturdy. I didn't even have to drill to secure the ramp---the anti-skid feature works very well. Once every few weeks I just adjust the ramp, if necessary.
The key is to make sure that the ramp's angle with the floor is no more than 10 degrees.
If the disabled person uses the ramp alone then the angle must be much smaller (down the ramp; not sure if it is safe to go alone up the ramp).
