It's a little pricey so I was hesitant on purchasing it but after using it for a week straight, I have found that it's worth every penny. One of the standout features is how fast it heats up, saving me so much time during my morning routine. It also comes with a cute little case, some styling clips and a teasing comb.

The most impressive aspect, however, is the incredible volume it adds to my hair. It's like a salon-quality boost right at home. With all of this extra volume in my hair, it also appears cleaner longer. From previously having to wash my hair religiously every other day I can now extend it out a solid 3 to 4 days.

If you're looking for a reliable, efficient, and effective hair volumizing tool, the Voloom is a must-have. I highly recommend it!

I've been using this brand for years. My old one finally had to be replaced almost after a decade and that's only after I dropped it a few times. Even after several falls to the floor, it kept going.

My hair dresser showed me this iron and I was astounded.

After drying my hair, she parted it and dragged her finger along the part to lift a bit of hair and drape it over the other side. Then, she did that again, lifted up a narrow chunk, and crimped the roots for a few seconds with this iron set at 330 degrees. And continued around my crown and both sides a little ways down, always leaving a narrow line of uncrimped hair near the part and at the crown. This top layer she flipped over the crimped hair. After running her fingers through at the roots to arrange it a little, she gave me a mirror.

I.could.not.believe this was my fine, thinning hair.

The next day, voilà! Still fluffy? Yes! And then we went to the beach and hurray! It still held up pretty well. Oh my goodness, this was the last piece of the puzzle.

The key, if you want your hair to look smooth, is to have those top uncrimped hairs lay over the hair that's crimped. It's so simple to do.

Getting a good result is so simple and quick. Each crimp takes just a few seconds. When I first had it, I set the iron's temperature at 300F and crimped 5-6 seconds and now feel confident to use 330F for 3-4 seconds. That seems to work well for my hair, which has blonde streaks. I want to respect these hairs that have been lightened. That said, I've had the iron for more than a month and notice no weakening of my hair or change in color. Perfect.

Any second day touch up takes me a minute or two. The iron heats up quickly.

To turn it on, there's a teeny button to push. You change the temperature from 300F to 395F in 5 degree increments by pushing the + and - buttons by the on/off one. After the iron's cooled, you lock it with a sliding closure. The kit comes with a pad to lay it on, a small brush, and a few large clips to hold your top layer away from your working area. I don't see any need for the brush, as the crimping technique works just fine without also needing to tease or back-comb.

I highly highly highly recommend this iron for fine hair.

I cannot say enough good things about this air tool. It. Is. AMAZING. This is the first review I have ever written for anything I have ever purchased because this does exactly what it says it does and then some!! I came across the ad for the Voloom on my Facebook news feed"¦ I thought the same thing I do about every other product I see that promises results.. most of the time I end up disappointed. I have had extremely fine and lifeless hair my entire life. It only has body when I literally put a ton of product in it, curl it, tease it, etc. My hair has been getting longer and I was to the point where I didn't even want to wear it down and straight anymore because it was so stringy and flat. I thought what the heck when I saw this. I spent the money. And let me tell you"¦ it is worth it!! I got the Rootie and do from the roots halfway down my hair on the under layers (I clip the top layers out of the way to lay over the voloomed hair). It takes a little practice. I used it for the second time this morning and I have already had a few people compliment my hair and tell me how whatever I did has changed my whole look! My hair looks healthier. It feels healthier. It's amazing! It has a TON of body! I have messed around with it a bit (it takes a little practice) and the more you use it the more volume it adds, and it lasts for days. I wash my hair once every 3 days and a quick touch up with this tool every day and my hair doesn't even look or feel greasy by the end of day 3. It literally lifts the hair away from the scalp. It is life-changing for me! Really amazing. To think of the time and money I have dumped into hair products and serums and thickening tonics and the whole time all I needed was this. I will save so much money. All I need now is a spray or two of dry shampoo in between washing and that's it! Of course I use a heat protectant before blow-drying because I color my hair. But that's it!! This does not cause heat damage, and that was one thing I was worried about. It really does make my hair look and feel healthier! One thing with it is that it literally "crimps" the hair, so playing around with it is a must. Just my second time using it and I have already gotten really good with it. Using it on the under layers is what provides the body and texture, and make sure to leave the top layers as is to lay over the voloomed hair. Brush when done using the tool, and.. VOLOOM! My hair looks awesome today! I brush it less, too. It does not get stringy like it would normally after a half hour. This will change my life. It will make my life easier! Less messing with my hair and the confidence it has given me is unbelievable. For any women who suffer with thinning and fine hair, I highly recommend this. I have always hated when people would touch my hair and say, "Wow, your hair is so thin and fine.." =| I have always had a complex about it. My hair would get greasy the more I touched it and messed with it. That is all out the window now. My boyfriend was running his fingers through my "thick" hair and saying how soft it was. And I loved every second of it when normally I would hate it! Ladies, give this a try! You will not be disappointed. Ok. So I ordered the petite version and have shoulder length hair. This thing means business! I've only had it for one day, so I'm behind on the learning curve, but this tool gave me more volume than I've ever had! We're talking big ass Texas hair! I woke up today with big hair, too.
