Not the solution I hoped it would be

This is 3M, it can only be so bad, but it wasn't the right solution for the job I wanted it to do. I wanted it to hold an 8 x 5 pad of paper to the fridge. The magnet held well to the fridge door, but the pad kept popping off of the adhesive side of the strip onto the floor. I don't know if I'm expected to do more than just apply the strip and hold together firmly, but it didn't do a very good job. I did use a strip at the top and another at the bottom of the pad. Cheap pads that I pick up at Walmart seem to adhere well using this method so I am surprised that I couldn't duplicate that with 3M strips.

These magnets are strong, that's definitely not an issue. However, the adhesive is not. Within hours the metal file folder that I stuck the magnets on to mount it on the side of my fridge fell off of the magnets. I got a tube of super glue and glued the magnets to the file folder and now no matter how much I shove into the file bin it doesn't budge a mm from where the magnets are holding it to the fridge.

I wanted to use them to hold some 8 inch LED lights but they just weren't strong enough to hold the lights up. But I also tried them on my refrigerator and they were surprisingly strong enough to stick through a few pieces of paper, much stronger sticking to my refrigerator than the LED light. I ended up returning them because they didn't work for what I needed but I think they would work for other projects or applications
