Pad: decent. The wood it's on is kinda light and not that dense and there was obvious glue run off from when the pad was glued to the wood. Still decent though

My son is just starting out learning the drums. He is going to school virtually so it is really hard for him to learn. I bought this for him for Christmas and he loves it. Comes with a bag that hokd everything so he can take it to his dad's on the weekends and practice. Sturdy. The stand could raise up a little higher but that is my only complaint.

Perfect height for teaching my son rudiments! Also the pad fits perfect on top of an actual snare drum for when he wants to sit and play. Bag holds everything perfectly and seems durable. As someone who has just started with drums (and lives in a condo where a drumkit or any musical instruments are not allowed), I had to get a practice pad.
This one from Donner has been a great purchase, given:
- It is solidly built, I am very impressed with how easy was to assemble the stand and adjust it, and the 3 rubber feet provides a firm grip to the floor
- the well-built bag is light, sturdy and easy to take to my drum classes. Worth mentioning is that it has an internal division, easy to store the stand, drumsticks and other stuff
- the rubber plate on the top has a good feeling when you hit it, which is really important (otherwise I would be using my desk :))
- the 3 pairs of 5A drumsticks (yes, THREE!) was a very nice surprise: they are light and well manufactured. The fact that they come in a velvet bag is a nice finishing touch
The only suggestion I would make to Donner is to replace one 5A pair with a 5B, to give students and additional choice of drumsticks.
I'm very happy with this purchase - I tested other practice pads in my drumming school and they just don't measure up to this one from Donner - some are flimsy, or just have a weird feeling when you hit them.
