After Nearly a Year, Good So Far

Since Sony stopped making their portable DVD player a few years ago, we have been searching for a replacement DVD player for our adult daughter with Down Syndrome who does not want to transition away from physical DVDs.
We have had terrible luck with portable DVD players under $100 that break or stop working within weeks or a few months. They are all made of light plastic parts (this one included) and just are not good quality products. But so far this UEME Portable DVD Player has held up to nearly a year of very heavy use.
This unit just feels too fragile for me to give it 5 stars; I am worried that the door may break or the unit just stop working tomorrow. But it seems to be lasting better than all the other competitors in this price range.

We purchased this for our grandson's birthday and so far so good but have only just begun using it. The little remote is awesome and something we did not have with our last player, but makes it nice to be able to operate without having to reach for the player while buckled up in the car. The screen is a decent size for in the car and the picture is very nice and crisp. As some have said, the sound isn't what you have on your big screen tv but is fine for the kids in the car and can be connected to speakers if used at home if you want something better. I personally don't think it's necessary but some are super picky about the sound. ***UPDATE/ EDIT*** I am updating this review after using his DVD player for one year and three months...
This DVD player will not work at all anymore. This DVD player was a Christmas present for my toddler in 2018. After having it exactly one year it stopped playing certain dvds, specifically any newer movies. A couple months later, it has officially quit working all together. We've used this DVD player strictly for car use only. I'm disappointed that we're having to replace it after only getting a year and 3 months worth of use out of it. I will not be purchasing this brand again.

We bought this for my rear facing baby for Christmas. We spend A LOT of time in the car and thought this would make drives more enjoyable for our little guy. The dvd is a GOOD DVD player. The picture quality is good, it's light weight and the headrest harness is easy to install and use. The sensor for the remote is in an annoying location for car use (it's located at the very top of the DVD player when folded up and in its harness).
