It fits 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback!!!
Anh ✓ Verified Purchase•January 26, 2024
This rotatable head unit is great, almost flawless! But first of all, I'm writing this review to commend Iris (Dasaita support rep) for the above and beyond customer support. Iris has been extremely helpful and always answered my inquiries within 24 hours and even provided top notch experience for me to enjoy the new radio unit. Keep it up Iris!
Let's talk about the unit now then:
PROs:
*It fits my 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport
*Can be tilted to give more space for AC air flow and better viewing angle (I just need to figure out how to rotate the UI when it's vertical)
*10" screen, wayyyyy better than the 7" OEM radio
*IT CAME WITH WIRELESS APPLE CARPLAY!! (Not sure about Android auto, but with Zlink already installed, it easily connects to apple carplay when I started my car)
*Sound quality is amazing! The equalizer has so many options to tweak
*Extremely responsive screen
*Adjustable heights
*It's extremely easy to set up, if I didn't have to wait for all the parts to come in, should only take about 1 hour, all cables are plug and play.
Cons:
*Cannot make popcorn
*Wiring harness for Honda is not included (Iris suggested these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XSSL3QP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and when the order was placed, Iris made sure the one for Honda was shipped with expedited shipping, I didn't have to wait for 3 weeks to get it!)
*It didn't come with USB adapter to retain the factory USB, which I had to order through here https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F0YJ49O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (Iris also helped me with these)
Overall this is a great investment. Made my car even more enjoyable to drive in now, especially for longer distance driving. Again, thank you Iris for your exceptional support.

I got this unit now a little over 4 months, and i have it in my Honda civic si, it has a nice updated feel to it, i especially love using google maps and all the flexibility it provides me without having to mount my phones etc, however i have had my fair share of issues, like random reboots or WiFi not connecting to my home WiFi and i have to use my phone hotspot, but i can say this, with each issue i had, and i contact dasaita, they always responded and provided me with updates and even sent me additional hardware to try. my steering wheel control wasn't working with the head unit, and they sent me an updated canbus to try, i haven't gotten around to try it yet, but they always willing to help out with any issue you got, i explain to them a yesterday about my issues with Bluetooth and WiFi, and this morning i check my mail, and they provided me with links to download the latest MCU update and Software update.
I contacted them so much i had to create a folder just for them, but the support his great, and to me as a consumer that's very important, customer service, and even if they take a day to respond its fine, because they will respond, so just for that i will give them 4 stars, i love the unit, its not perfect, but its a big step up from what my car came with originally.

It can be a great Unit if it works with your car and steering controls

I purchased this with the hope that it would work with my car, unfortunately much like everything else on the market for the Genesis Coupe with NAV integrated this didn't work with it either. This isn't really the fault of the unit but rather newer cars just being overly complex. My steering wheel control uses the SWC 3.5mm in for controls and this unit cannot adapt to that. Other then that the screen is huge, I like being able to touch my way through the interface fairly easily. The UI does need work though, you can't resize widgets around as nice as I'd hoped. In my case the Android Auto would crash the app on my phone (LGV60) while connected to the supposed to work android Auto. The screen Mirroring did work but because the unit is only 2.4GHZ wifi the video mirroring speed had about a .75-1 second lag too it and was fairly low frame rate. Although to be fair to DASAITA screen mirroring over wifi at home is about as terrible as experience. It's always choppy or delated or buffers so that feature isn't really a detriment of the deck just screen mirroring in general. The unit worked with SPOTIFY quite well, and the Navigation was really cool which I'll be disappointed to not have since I currently don't have navigation in my car while I find a more compatible stereo. USB outs worked great, you can even plug into a key board/mouse and it works like a regular computer so you can basically video conference in your car if you wanted too. Can plug all sorts of accessories into usb BUT the OTA connection for external sound devices, although it says it works DOES NOT WORK, I attempted to pair it with a SPDIF/TOSlink USB OTA device that worked perfectly with my phone but wouldn't work with this deck. This honestly was a make or break with this deck for the cost of it. Android 10 at this point should be fully supporting something I've had on my phones for the past 6 years. So DASAITA get with the game, there is no reason that my 500$ phone can beat your 500 car stereo that is just another android tablet.
Overall, the unit does what it does, does have mirroring and it works, does act just like an android tablet and you can download apps, has great navigation, has your audio outs, speaker outs, mic, gps ant, wifi ant, supports bluetooth pairing which works great for calling, and the touch screen was overall about as good as it gets with android tablets. It is unfortunate that that no matter what i tried for my Genesis that the SWC and the USB OTA for android wouldn't work. Those 2 things would have made this deck better then 50% of the stereo's out there. I will definitely consider DASAITA in the future, but they have to figure out some updated additions like adding the industry wide standard SWC plug that works with AXXIS, Maestro and PAC, and making the OTA work with android for external sound devices. This would be the biggest selling point to Sound quality enthusiasts.

Working well so far!

Just ran through the install for the unit, so far so good. There are a couple of the steering wheel controls on my 2017 Toyota 4Runner that I can't get the unit to register, the forward/back and select buttons, but everything else is working well.
Install went well, instructions aren't horrible, just minimal. I enjoy my technology, I think this unit while maybe not having quite the fidelity of the big audio players, it has a lot of features that those do not have. Android Auto working well, it loads right up and looks good. The screen looks good, I think the scaling for Android Auto is meant for smaller screens, at this size things do get a little pixelated. I can't blame the unit itself as video and pictures look stellar. But the icons inside AA definitely are a bit lower resolution.
I had a Pioneer 4200NEX installed with the Crux SWRTY-61N Wiring Interface. The interface I left in the vehicle and simply added it to Dasaita, it made install a breeze. Took all of an hour, that's disassembly, cutting, splicing and reassembly. The Crux interface allowed me to retain the backup camera without issue, and all other functionality
Durability wise, we'll see how long it lasts. If I can get a couple years out of it, I'll be tickled. The screen upgrade alone is worth it.

Seller provided good feedback, product delivered earlier than requested. Delivered in amazon box to conceal Dasaita packaging as requested on final stages of check out. Items in Dasaita box was package nicely. Installed on 2010 GMC Sierra, required a PAC RP5-GM31 interface and standard double DIN GMC radio mounting kit. Follow instruction on PAC, for steering wheel control hook up the key 1 for Dasaita to PAC SWC connector blue yellow wire only. Android Auto hook up was a pain using Samsung Note 9, Note 8 and S7 hooked up no problem, had to use different cable but was able to make work using standard cable in the USB port single connector, It worked with dedicated Samsung plug in double USB connector. But it took time, looks like normal problem with NOTE 9 on most stereo heads. Need to install a dimming app to lower the screen brightness at night. Volume control with different apps, ie Android Auto, Blue tooth, GPS on board, etc having hard time "normalizing" volumes.
All in all, great head unit, lots of options. The GPS on the Max 6 unit is surprisingly very good. Lots of details and options. Enjoy.
