Many different soundscapes, although I only prefer to use 3 or 4. The only feature I would add is a separate timer for the light.

The media could not be loaded. After having my 3rd child who we have co-slept with for quite some time, I know the importance of having a good sound machine in our room. I while back we tried out the older model of the Dreamegg White Noise Machine. We fell in love with it and it has even become a habit for me to turn it on without the kiddos in our room. So when I found out there was another newer model, I knew I had to have it. This one has even more!
So far we love this model with all the people at Dreamegg have added to it. I love the variety of sounds depending on who uses it to fall asleep or what kind of a mood. I love that I can set a timer if I don't want it to run all night and it's easily portable so we can take it camping or to grandmas when she is watching the kids too. My only complaint is that the light does not change colors or have any different options other than the yellow/white glow. We'd prefer a different color variety. Otherwise I love everything this little gadget has to offer. We used this to help transition my youngest son into his own bed (most nights) and it's helped. I have also been sleeping much better myself!

Me & my two month old LOVE the egg!!! As soon as I turn it on within literally the first minute or two she's out light like lightning. From playing white noise on YouTube and to finally giving in to get a white noise machine was definitely a good decision. Let me just say that the noise quality is everything it's so clear and crisp, from the fan to the white noise, nature sounds, and lullabies. My daughter loves to sleep with the white noise sound and when she's up and on her play at looking at her playgym, we love to play the nature sounds, we take advantage of it and use it day and night:) Also the nightlight is a nice feature it has a bright light as y'all can see on the picture and it also has a dimmer that dims light to bright which helps a lot at night for diaper changes, so that's a huge plus. Definitely recommend the Egg, going to buy me a second one for the boys room. I may add my middle child is an energizer bunny from sun up to sun down and nothing stops this child and getting him to sleep is a struggle if he can stay up all night playing he would, I tried the white noise on him and BAM he was out within 5 minutes! Definitely recommend a white machine and this one is amazing!

I had previously written how I enjoyed one of Dreamegg's sound machines -- it had been in use for months, and my little son had asked for its music every night. It was portable and had good sounds. I had noticed that the company made another one -- at the time, it looked more professionally built and now also came with a night light. Considering how much my wife and I liked the other one, we decided to give that one -- the D1 model -- a try. And we loved it with a 5 star review rating!
Amazon notified me that a newer model -- the D1 "Pro" -- became available when we were about to purchase the D1 again for our friend's baby shower. Naturally, we were intrigued to see what's new.
PROS
- Built-in night light (yellow glow). NEW to "Pro": brightness is adjustable. Light has helped our son fall asleep and stay asleep better
- Timer (30, 60, 90 minutes, or Endless)
- A wide variety of sounds/noises. NEW to "Pro": 8 new sounds (of the "Nature" type)
- Portable, though as heavy as the original D1
- Compact and solid like the original D1
- Very well built and professional looking
- Remembers last sound played
- Can be powered by USB, such as a battery pack
CONS
- No battery mode. Needs to be constantly plugged in
- Could be a bit too heavy for travel for some
- Manual could use some work
- Proprietary AC connector end tip
I had high hopes and expectations of this product considering how much my family loved the original one the company created and its successor, the "D1". However, this "D1 Pro", although it adds 8 new sounds, adjustable brightness, and is an EXCELLENT sound machine, does not justify the extra cost over its predecessor, the "D1". At the time of this writing, the D1 costs $35 and the D1 Pro goes for $50.
If you do not already have a D1, the D1 Pro is still an excellent buy. However, if you already have the D1, this Pro version may not be worth the extra cost. For those on a budget, however, the D1 still presents an excellent value.
