The description states that you can use this for fresh flower arrangements. The rod that puts the vase together is hollow so you cannot put any water in the vase. It looks good for the price but was disappointed that you could not use it for fresh flowers which was my attention.

The vases are really beautiful and the quality is good for the price. But there are a lot of pieces to assemble and mine was missing a piece. I finished assembling one before I realized that there was a piece missing for the second vase. In my excitement, I did not check all of the pieces first. Check first! Assemble after! :)
