Hanging on the wall, these look just like the real thing! I've had several friends and family comment they had no idea these were plastic until I told them. Very easy to mount the antlers and hang on the wall. My taxidermist charges a couple hundred for a euro and this was less than $40 and maybe 20 minutes of my time to remove the antlers from the skull, drill, and mount.

All I had was a skull capped rack. The cape belonging to him was lost due to freezer burn. I ordered this to complete a European mount as now that the cost of shoulder mounts are exorbitant. I cut the cap in half and then I used a hacksaw to remove the antlers from the pedicle. Using a bench grinder I smoothed out the bases as best as possible.
I dry run set up the skull and skull cap. The fit is not perfect but for the cost I wasn't expecting perfection. I used some dark walnut stain to add some distinction to this. Staining, letting it set up then wiping. Repeat as needed.
Once dry I used a 5/32 and then an 11/32 bit to run a pilot hole into the base of the antlers. Set the antlers, snug up the screws and adjust as needed. You can then tighten fully. Mount the cap to the skull.
There is a built in cut out to hang on the wall but personally I like the look of the skulls when they are angled not lying flat.
If this loads correctly the first 3 photos are of the Kit. I used a 1" drill bit to bore out where the brain stem would be for hanging. I use the mounts with the bent wings to support the skull properly.
The final photo is a real whitetail skull for reference.

The kit is well worth the cost in relation to other options. I usually do all my own Euro mounts and the time saved alone is priceless. This will not pass a trained eye as an authentic skull mount but as my deer was already skull capped this was the next best choice for me. I would purchase this again when needed. Recommend.

I don't care to write reviews but after receiving this and kicking around the idea of hydro dipping it before mounting, I have to say it's awesome as it is. I had a "taxidermist" screw me over and left me with just a rack. Figured I'd give this a shot and see how it came out, there's always other options. 30 minutes and some back and forth fitment, this came out great. Take your time and modify the Mount of base of your antlers to get it the way you want. It's straight forward and easy to do if you can work a drill, hand saw, sandpaper, and a screw driver. I'll keep this as a backup option from here on out.
