Worth the price!

Okay, so a few things.
It is definitely worth every penny, constructed using quality and sturdy metal (not fiber glass like other brands). I borrowed my neighbor's, I believe it was the Avalanche brand...it was easier to maneuver because it wasn't nearly as heavy BUT the tubes were flexing quit a bit and that was probably only clearing 6 feet from the edge of my garage roof. The clearance between the rake and the shingles was also much lower, leaving less than the recommended 2" of snow.
Now, Snow Peeler's clearance at first seemed high but after googling around, it is actually recommended to leave at least 2" of snow on your roof and so Snow Peeler nailed that and seems to be almost exactly 2" between the shingles and the rake. I was able to reach the top of my garage from the ground with very minimal bend on the tubes.
Instructions could be better but if you there is a video on YouTube by Snow Peeler showing the assembly process, I'd recommend watching it instead.
With it being metal, there wasn't much flex at longer lengths but it is heavy and is quite the work out....guess that's why they say summer bodies are made in the winter haha!
However, I personally found it much easier going up on my roof and pulling from the edges up rather than being on the ground level and pushing. I love the fact the Snow Peeler gives you that option of reversing the method of use (push/pull) and still use the snow slide affectively.
I live in Minnesota in a 2 story home, had a little over a foot of snow for reference. I only ended up attaching 3 of the 5ft poles, it came with 6!!!

Cons: There isn't any texture on the pipes/tubes and so depending on your gloves, your hands might not be grippy enough to pull. I actually had to removed one of my gloves to get a good enough grip to pull it up through the snow. I might just apply some tape to some areas to fix this problem.

The other con was just that I was only sent 1 plastic sheet for the snow slide, I thought it was supposed to come with 2?!
Works well but pack a lunch!

UPDATE 3/20/19 About an hour later... I just got off the phone with Nancy at the Polarmade company. I called the 800 number listed on the company website and I was pleasantly surprised that not only did someone answer, she did not transfer me to someone else. I explained that the pole had broken during use, and without a single inference of negligence or attempt to shirk the company responsibility, she arranged to a replacement section of handle to be sent to me, FREE OF CHARGE! I've added back the fifth star to my review to reflect the EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE this company provides. They stand behind their product, and I'm a raving fan.

UPDATE 3/20/19 While using the full 30' handle (6 x 5-foot sections) that came with the Snowpeeler Premium I had a large slab of snow slide down the handle, causing one of the junctions to snap near the middle of the entire length. The photo is the clean break at what must be assumed to be the weak link in the system. The aluminum handle sections are mechanically tapered to slide into one another, making for a quick and simple assembly. Unfortunately, this mechanical squeezing weakens the metal at the junction, which is where the break occurred. While I still recommend the product as a far safer means of snow removal than shoveling from the roof itself, it seems that the weight of the snow being removed must be taken into consideration. I've removed one star from my prior 5-star review for this failure. I'll be reaching out to the manufacturer to see if they will replace the damaged handle section as a warranty issue. I'll update this review with that outcome.

ORIGINAL REVIEW 3/12/19: The quality of the tool is top notch. Assembly took 15 min with my adjustable wrench and the included hex wrenches in the box. All the parts fit well, and the machining is very clean. The instructions are somewhat vague, as they require you to match parts to the instruction guide diagram only. There is no written assembly instructions or tips. I did find a good video online that explained everything very clearly. I recommend you visit the web BEFORE assembly. It helps.

As for function, the tool does NOT save effort. It saves time and probably injury. By working fro the ground you stay safely standing whereas shoveling on the roof would be treacherous to say the least. The tool with 25' of handle in use can be unwieldy and the weight, while not too bad initially, does wear you out. I worked for about an hour on 36-48" of rooftop snow that is 3 months old and the cutting head did its job. At times the head would hang up on an icy section and the handle would flex downward bashing into my gutter. No damage was done but be warned that the tool is probably best suited for fresher snow than I have.

All said, I have no regrets with this purchase and recommend the tool and maker.
Saves time, easy to assemble and easy to use!

My Review of the SnowPeeler:
Overall it Works well!!!
It came in a box about 5'long. Assembly took about 20 minutes (I combined both written instructions, as well as the YouTube video to assemble it).
Mine is the 30'long model (for my applications, needed all 30'). To clear all my roofs, it took maybe a couple hours (compared to an all day and night process when having to climb on the roofs last year with a shovel to clean "˜em off). Perhaps, if it wasn't raining so hard last night like it was while doing it, it may have taken even less time.
There are six 5' snap-together poles that make up the 30', you can use as many or as little as needed for whatever length you need. I found that in order to move the cutting head to the next section of snow to "peel", you have to remove sections, to only leave 15-20' of pole intact (to have the leverage to lift the head up and over to the next spot on the roof), then add a 5' section(s) of pole as you work it up the roof (makes for a lot of assembly/disassembly of the pole sections while using it).
It comes with a bungee cord to hold the slider sheet (bottom end grommet ) to the pole, which when in place, directs the sliding snow to dropping farther from the side of the building and keeps it attached to the pole so the wind doesn't take it (which helps considerably). After about 20 minutes of use, the bungee fell off (probably on the roof somewhere 🥺) I tried using a bungee I had, but it was longer than the one it came with, so it fell off as well. Without the bungee, the Peeler can still be used, but with the wind, it was more difficult to direct the head and slider sheet to where you wanted it to go up the roof and it allowed the snow coming off the roof to drop straight down from the eave (probably more risk of the slider sheet to tear on the edge of the eaves).
I think a modification of some sort is needed to keep the bungee in place (or perhaps I just didn't use it correctly "¦"¦..Nah! 🤗) or, they should send extra bungees in the box to have as spares. In hindsight, I should have measured the bungee, so that I could have gotten another one at correct length to replace the one lost.
The Peeler didn't clean off all the snow ( especially at the very peak as it was difficult to make the guides "jump" up onto the ridge cap, but for whatever little is left up there, I didn't really care). The guides place the cutter head 2" off the roof, so if there is 2" or less of snow on the roof, don't bother using it. I also found that when working it along the roof's rake edge, with my asphalt roof, the guide closest to the edge tended to drop over the edge, which made it different to use the Peeler as the cutting edge would then be angled and riding on the shingles's edge rather than the plastic Peeler guide (perhaps on a metal roof, the rake cap would prevent the Peeler guide from falling over the edge of the roof (??)
Great product but..

I purchased this product because I had almost 3 feet of snow sitting on my roof and the old roof rack that I had broke. The first thing that I noticed is that it is very well constructed, and works good. The few things I didn't like about it is that it is very heavy, and the chute material riped on my first use. You also have to push and pull this device above your head and when it cuts through the snow sometimes it comes all the way down the handle and you get a face full of snow if you are not careful with it.
Works well

I have a cabin in Northern jWisconsin and we had near record snowfall this winter. I bought this out of fear for my cabin roof and the out buildings. I have to say that it works well on freshly fallen snow and fairly well on snow that was packed together. If the snow is to dense it does not like it and I expected that. I was able to remove enough snow ( I started with 3 ft on the roof) to help get me through the winter. I think if you get this product and use it early and often it is a great tool. If you wait like I did it is a useful tool and a bunch of work.
