The bushed stainless shell seems more robust than other carafes I have owned. It rings like a bell when knocked instead of sounding like a tin-can. The pump works smoothly with a strong return spring. A nice change from the sticky pump action on my old Bunn.
Not so sure about the 24 hour keep-hot claim. It might be true if the pot is completely full. But when half-empty, it will be lukewarm by morning. Fortunately, coffee usually tends to go quickly here, so that is not a problem for us.
