It seems to work kind of ok, but straps don't seem to be big enough

The straps dont seem quite big enough on one end for the handle of a rod. Also, I have a minivan and leaving the rod assembled is way to much weight for this thing to be able to hold because it isn't able to distribute it. It puts to much weight on one end. We wound up selling our solid rods for travel purposes before we got the van, so now we have rods that come apart in two pieces, and seems to work ok for that. I may have to add a little extra velcro to the straps so I can secure it. But I was planning on doing that anyway because I would like to also store my umbrella on it. It didn't come with any explaination on how to attach it, so it took me some trial and error to figure out what worked best, especially because I only have one set of handles and one set of hooks that flip up. I was able to figure out a way to make it work. It should work better than the straps I had before.

These work great! They were easy to install, and the adjustments went quick. Nice and sturdy. Now when I'm going on long trips or going over rough terrain, I no longer need to worry about things bouncing around in the back. Safely straps both of my children to the interior roof of the car so my rods can lay safely across the back seat. 5 stars.
