It's a nice siren but not as loud as I would have expected. Came well packaged and on time. If your looking for sheer volume look elsewhere. If your looking for the classic air raid sound this is what you want.

Well made and sounds good, way better than a speaker would. Not earthshaking but loud enough to be heard over quarry equipment at 1/2 mile away. It has 2 wire and a grounding screw, you have to wire your own plug which is easy enough.

Great Tornado Siren System. Operates on 110v w/ a 20amp circuit. Ramp up pulls 18amp until fully engaged. Installed (3) in our 250K SqFt steel processing facility. Used small PLC controller, ( about $200.00) to control ramp up for 8 seconds/4 down. Used a Federal Signal Co. Emergency Activation Push Station. Testing the system after install, (all overhead doors open) the sirens were so loud that the employees of surrounding business were all looking to see what was going on. 2 Days after the install and test were completed an actual tornado warning was issued by the National Weather Service in our vicinity and the alarm system was activated. All of our employees heard the warning sirens and immediately headed to our designated shelter in place areas. I would 100% fully recommend this siren for an application such as this.
