Previously the Milwaukee tape measures were my favorite because they were wide, easy to read, had an extended reach due to the arc and thickness of the tape, and had all the standard features of a great tape measure on top of that. THEN they changed the thickness of the tape and now they just suck.
Klein picked up the torch and has all those features I liked and added a tape brake on the bottom. Awesome. Now, as long as they don't try to cut costs by decreasing the quality of their parts like Milwaukee did, this will be the tape measure I recommend to everyone. The one I just ordered in July of 2023 is everything I desire in a tape measure. Let's hope it stays that way.

The tape is quite wide and heavy. Not sure it adds to the strength as you extend the tape. It seems well built but obviously not something I would buy again.
