Sturdy dog crate that's great for car or rv travel. You do need to strap securely in place. It's heavy, so I may buy another one for the rv, instead of moving from car to rv, depending on which rig we take. At first it was difficult to unlatch the top latch, but it's loosened up a bit. I have to pull the door forward to release the top one, took getting used to. I have a lot more peace of mind knowing my dog is safer than when using a vari-kennel type crate. Door stays secure, don't have to worry about the top of door pulling away or the crate falling apart in the event of a crash. Worth the money spent.

This kennel is amazing, the door shuts securely, secondary pins to keep the door shut tight, and lockable door to keep the dog safe. The size and construction are perfect for my 74lb Black Lab and keeps her safe during travel. She has just enough room to turn around in the kennel and lay down comfortably. A common misconception is that the dog should be able to stand up and move around freely in the kennel. However, that is incorrect and leads to injuries as the dog can be slung around in the kennel while traveling causing injuries. I will definitely be purchasing another of these when my next pup comes a long.
