The only "negative" that I can offer about the nautical compass is the packaging for delivery. It was very well packaged with lots of protective wrap but the box and packaging are not "giftable", at least by my standards. I start with that comment with acknowledgement that it's a very minor issue as using gift packaging was not a problem for me. The quality of the compass far exceeded my expectations! The box as well as the compass itself are well made with good weight and a solid feel. The box is just as show worthy as the compass, which is actually functional and has a lot of great detail. The only way that it could be better (in my opinion) is if they offered an engraved brass plate. I had to order that seperately. But otherwise, I am very happy with this purchase and it was a big hit for whom it was gifted. I would recommend and buy again (if I needed another one).

A very cool looking nautical piece. I love the vintage look and even the box that it comes in looks amazing. Definitely a great gift idea for someone like me who's very interested in nautical items. Fairly accurate too, I was surprised by that.
