Monitor does not power on
M. Hurliman✓ Verified Purchase•February 2, 2024
EDIT: Customer service reached out to assess what was wrong, and they sent a new monitor. When the second monitor did not work, they sent a whole new unit which we installed and it is working as it should. They also offered to extend our warrantee period.
I bought this system in April and was only able to install it in my RV this today. Unfortunately, when I tied to hook up the monitor, it did not power on. I checked all the pins to be sure they were getting power, and they were. This means that the monitor itself is defective, and I noticed that the cable coming out of it is loose. The unit is brand new, out of the box, never installed or used yet. Customer service was notified, and I am waiting to hear back.

Mostly good, some bad

I installed this system in a 2003 30ft motorhome. The good: This is a mid-level 4 camera system with 720 resolution cameras. It is a HUGE improvement over the old camera system. I can now see whats behind me and in my blind spots on both sides. There was plenty of wire and as far as the system itself goes, it instillation was simple. The cameras are powered through the video cable, so there is no need to tap into power at each camera location. I feel I got my money's worth but if I were to make the purchase again, I'd probably go with something else.
The bad: The screws that are included to attach the side cameras are aluminum. They will twist off in the hole with even the slightest torque. Do yourself a favor and throw them in the trash and use something else. The default setting when the unit powers up is for all four cameras to record. On quad screen mode, there is a constant flashing red dot on every picture. It is very distracting and annoying. You have to manually stop recording every time you start the engine to git rid of it. I wish now that I had gotten a unit that doesn't record at all. Last, the instructions are written by someone who is just learning English. I mean, how much could it cost to have someone proofread them before you publish? It makes me question the quality of everything else.

I highly recommend this camera system. Three reasons: (1) system quality; (2) ease of operation; and most importantly, (3) unparalleled customer service. First, it's a robust system with a clear picture and lots of options for time-delay voltage on the turn signal signal for the side cameras. The only reason I gave it a 4 on the night vision is that it whites out a bit if the headlights from cars hit it, although it works better at night that my 2016 Honda's OEM system. Second, every aspect of the system is easy to use and the remote works great. Most importantly, you just can't go wrong with their customer service. They are immediately responsive and don't sweat fault. For instance, I accidentally cut the main wiring harness while installing. I told them it was my fault and they sent me another for free! One of my side cameras began flickering after the warranty period. I contacted them and they told me they would replace it for free again. Great product and if something does go wrong, this company is there for you, no questions asked!
Great product - even better customer service

Installed the cameras on my RV for better visibility during high traffic situations. The system works as expected and is a definite improvement. I did some additional waterproofing of the cameras and wire connection points to reduce any risk of water damage. The screen size is perfect. The main challenge was running the wires but I like the stability of a hard wired system vs. wireless. So that's the product part and I'm sure you could find other companies/products out there. But what sets eRapta apart is their incredible customer service. While the wire length is long, unfortunately I was short a few feet for one camera - I emailed their support and they offered to send me (for free!) an additional short length wire. They didn't have to do that but they did. No questions, no pushback - just a nice (and quick turnaround) reply with a message that the wire is on it's way. That's what excellent customer service looks like. I've seen other very positive comments about their service so that tells me that this is how they operate in general. Quality product with a company that stands behind it and puts the customer first. I highly recommend!!
Easy to install and cables were plenty long

Installed in a 36' motorhome to replace the original Voyager single camera system. I installed the side cameras just above and forward of the front tires so I can see everything down the side of the coach on each side. One of the rear cameras replaced the factory camera, and the other I mounted down lower to just focus on the toad vehicle so I could see the hookups better.
The coach has good side mirrors, but the addition of this camera system really helps remove potential blind spots and gives me better vision all around the sides and back of the coach.
The cameras, cabling, and monitor all appear to be good quality. The picture quality could be a little better, but it's a massive improvement over the camera that came with the motorhome. The directions could definitely be better, but it's a fairly intuitive system and easy to figure out on your own.
Hardest part for me was mounting the monitor in the dash. I just found an indash mount for a 9" monitor and modified it to work with this one as the dimensions were a little different.
I did connect the monitor to battery power vice acc power so I can leave the camera on with the coach off. We also use it as a security monitoring system when overnighting at truck stops, etc. and any other time when you just want to keep an eye on the area around your coach. Just have to physically turn the monitor off when parking and/or storing the coach so it doesn't run the battery down.
Only recommendation I have for improvement would be if they included a better mounting solution and/or option for those wanting to do an indash install.
Definitely glad I made this upgrade.
