This Toshiba DVD/VCR recorder model is out of production and hard to find. My purchase was "new", and complete with remote control, interconnect cables, instruction manual, and blank DVD's. Video quality: excellent, perfect DVD recording and playback. (Also played back on another device to verify compatibility.)

Judging by the other reviews, this player is a hit or miss. I got lucky and the device works very well. Make sure that you select a buyer who offers the complete set, player and remote control. You cannot use the player without the remote control since all the functions are located on the remote.
