Sturdy Stand That Sits Crooked On The Base When Viewed From Above, Altering TV Angle To The Couch
Grace✓ Verified Purchase•October 16, 2023
This is a sturdy stand with enough weight to make me feel comfortable putting my 55" LG OLED on it, which weighs around 48 lbs. the base looks nice with the glass top, and the column is substantial and made of thick metals. The main bracket on the back is also very strong, while the attachment brackets that go on the back of the tv are thinner and not as thick. My complaint is that the hole for the column to fit into the base is not straight, meaning the tv sits crooked on the base. The base must be rotated left or right to make the tv align parallel with the table or couch you are viewing the tv from, and it all has to do with that hole not being straight when cut into the base. I also noticed that the instructions told me to mount the main plate on the wrong side of the column while logic told me it goes on the side with the most base in front of it. I found the YouTube video on how to put this together more helpful than the written instructions.
Tip for those with an E6 LG OLED...since there is only a bump on the bottom of the tv to mount vesa screws into, use the two mounting bars upside down with the little holes to give it the most stability. I also found I needed to use spacers- the medium size ones + two of the smallest ones (all spacers were included) with the longest skinny screws provided. This took around an hour of trying different arrangements to get it right. The spacers allowed enough room between the back of the permanently attached speaker and the column, so the tv could be mounted to the stand without the back of the speaker, which sticks out further than the back of the tv, hitting the column and tilting the tv outward on the bottom. I have the E6 series LG OLED. Newer models may not have this issue. If you want the OLED to sit as close to the surface of the table as possible, mount the lowest points on the brackets to the tv, and hang the top of the brackets from the mount. Attach the safety brackets to the brackets (look up on youtube how to do this) so it doesn't move or tilt on the main bracket.
Tips for assembly...this took me two hours in total and a few mistakes.
+ Make sure you use the black washers when attaching the main plate to the column, not the big silver ones, which are for the back of the tv.
+ Make sure you don't put the plate facing the wrong direction on the column. In the picture on the instructions, it shows the plate facing the wrong direction per the little indents on the sides. The words Perlesmith should be facing the couch, not the other way. Mount the main plate on the side of the column with the most base in front of it.
+ You will need a screwdriver for the screws on the back of the tv.
Note to seller: your manufacturer needs to adjust their machine so the hole for the base is drilled straight. As your manufacturer, they are required to provide you with proper quality to keep you as their client.

When you open the box do not be intimidated by the number of well marked bags of screws and spacers. If you follow the instructions for tv's that have the same contour of your tv back; the instructions will guide you to the correct screws and spacers and from there it took only 15 minutes to put together.
Almost perfect

My 43" TV had legs that extended beyond the piece of it needed to sit on. This Pearlsmith TV stand solved my problem with a base that fit perfectly.
Pros: Stury, Safe, Mostly easy to assemble. Well packaged with all the nuts and bolts you need, separated and labelled in there own little pouch. The only tools you need are a screwdriver and a wrench, and the wrench is only used to hold a nut in place while you tighen the bolt. Once complete, it looks great.
Cons: The instructions are minimal, provided in pictures with callouts showing what screw and washer went where, Especially sketchy were how to adhere the safety locks. That said, it was easy to find videos on YouTube for how to assemble.
All in all, a great purchase.

Fit a 75" heavier TV just fine
Jacob schuler✓ Verified Purchase•August 16, 2023
we acquired an older 75" TV that is not as thin as most TVs these days making it pretty heavy. Our TV mounted and balanced on this just fine and seems sturdy enough that we are not worried about tipping as we were with our last TV mount
