I was looking for something that would play both CD's and FM stereo radio stations in my area that are a little hard to tune in for excellent reception. I checked out various devices on Amazon. After reading through the reviews, I realized that I might need something a little higher in quality than the boom box to get reception for my hard to tune in FM stations. I began to look beyond the boom box and noticed the BOYTONE Turntable with CD Player, AM/FM Radio, Cassette Player & MP3 Encoding Device. There were only seven reviews at the time, but they were all five stars and highlighted with praise, the issues I was most interested in. I ordered the product. When I hooked it up, the AM?FM Radio didn't work at all. I was very disappointed. I contacted BOYTONE directly and they made it clear that they would make it right and replace it. Amazon makes it so easy to return items so that as soon as I contacted them for the return, they had a replacement product on its way to my home and a return shipment label to print from my computer, at no cost to me, to ship back to their Returns Department. The replacement product arrived within two days. I quickly set it up and everything worked beautifully. In spite of my rocky start, I highly recommend this product and give it a five star rating.

I got this for my husband, a musician who is very picky about gifts and gadgets. He absolutely loves it. Not only can he play his records, but it looks really nice, the speakers have good sound quality, he can play his CDs, and he can play music from Spotify on his phone with the Bluetooth"¦ He has had zero complaints which is saying a lot!

I retired my treasured stereo system after many years of use as I downsized and moved into an apartment. I shopped online for a compact unit with bookcase speakers and decided on this one. When I received it, I was pleased with the size, the appearance, and the flexibility. But I was very disappointed by the tinny sound. My first impulse was to return it, but I decided to to see if some better speakers would help. I found a fantastic set of bookcase speakers on Amazon, and the result exceeded my hopes. I would happily give this unit the highest rating, but, really, the speakers that come with it are sad, sad, sad.

For some strange reason the dust cover over the turntable is totally open on 3 of the 4 sides! WHY??? I've never seen this before and it is unbelievable. Not only do I have a pet (flying fur) but live in NYC, a dirty city but in general all places would contriubte to dust collecting in 1 day on the turntable with open sides. I now have to find something to keep over the dust cover to help keep out dust. I have a wonderful turntable with a full dust cover from my previous unit and have had the same on all previous turntables. Would love to understand why it's made like this. Otherwise, it is a lovely little unit, lacking a few benefits but totally a good unit and great buy.

This is a decent quality item for the price with nice features. I had a couple issues with the item which Boytone went over and above to rectify. The one speaker did not work at all, and they replaced it without hassle. My records would skip as the needle got closer to the center of the record. They sent me another felt turntable pad and need cartridge and that resolved that issue as well. They are a great seller. This isn't high end, but if you just looking for a reasonably priced, decent quality stereo to listen to old records, tapes, and CDs, I recommend this stereo from this company.
