Needed a power cord for our nest doorbell camera. Works as intended. Great length (didn't have plug in near inside of door so needed to go about 6 feet).

My 3.5 year old Nest Hello suddenly went offline January 1st and I couldn't get it to reconnect. Factory reset and multiple unsuccessful tries I decided to get a new Nest Hello. The new one went offline a couple days later. Thinking it was a power issue, I decided to switch to an indoor power supply.

The doorbell worked for a couple days on this adapter and went offline again! Tried connecting both doorbells to my laptop via USB-C to USB and both powered right up and connected to my network, so I was thinking it was a power issue. I tried 4 different plugs and still wouldn't connect - I tried my usual network wifi, my guest wifi and my iphone hotspot with no luck. My multi-meter showed 18.3v at the doorbell connections, but I started thinking maybe that wasn't enough?

After I started a return on this adapter I continued to troubleshoot. Trying the same things again... resetting, try connecting to wifi, unconnected one power lead for 30 seconds, turning the camera on and off. Even though I read somewhere all Nest devices need to be on the same network band and they did best on 2.5, I figured I'd try my 5G network and it finally worked! My router is only 12 feet from my front door, so this may not work for everyone. I don't know why I can't connect to my 2.5 band suddenly?

Long story to say this adapter is working great with my old and new Nest Hello. I included details in case other people are searching for things to try!

This just works, right out of the box. The cord is solid/well-made, yet thin enough to easily conceal by tucking in and under baseboard, edging panels, etc. We had no pre-existing doorbell or power to the location where we were installing our new Nest doorbell camera, so we added and then ran the wire along the door frame and into the house to an outlet. Be aware that the converter itself (the thing you plug in) is a fairly substantial block of hardware (see measurements in product details above) and will take up some space when plugged in. I'm very pleased with it and the price can't be beat! Trust it. It will work for you.

Simple to connect to my arlo doorbell. Never have to charge the battery now

Perfect! I don't have a doorbell, so I ordered a compatible 18v transformer, drilled a small hole next to my door molding from inside, out. Ran the wires directly to the camera and attached to doorframe. Plugged the transformer into and inside outlet, programmed to WiFi and to my surprise, when the door button is pushed, an old fashion doorbell chime, along with the camera stream comes across the phone. I Love it!
