Involve Kids in the kitchen Safely

I bought this for the safety of chopping things to involve my 9 yr told who wanted to be helpful in the kitchen. It comes with a lot of blades which I do not plan on using, its a waste.. I wish instead they gave you extra's of the main chopping blades so that if they ever went bad you could replace them and use the product longer. We only plan on using the two main chop square blades - everything else is unnecessary, they are slicers, hence I am giving this a 4 out 5. Let's see how it lasts in the dishwasher, so far I have washed it 3 times and no issues. The blades are sharp, I did end up cutting my finger while cleaning it. Overall, I am happy with this purchase. It is safe and I was actually able to multitask while my son chopped veggies. He was done very quickly too, so I gave him a whole cantaloupe to do as well. Two tips (that we learnt) - chop your veggies in large chunks approx 1-2 inches high, anything higher will not chop and you may have to bang on the chopper a few times for it to go through which may not be safe with kids. I had to thin my ginger to 1/2 inch slices to get it to chop. Lay (roma) tomatoes skin down, if you keep skin on top, it may not go through and get stuck.

Tbh I have been wanting to try a chopper for awhile but have seen good and bad reviews (of various ones). I finally figured I couldn't pass this one up (great price and reviews). I have only tried the chopper part so far but couldn't be happier! It's easy to use and a cinch to clean! I would definitely recommend. Wish I would have gotten this year's ago!

I have had many kitchen gadgets and big stuff like stand mixers etc. but this little box contains some really great blades. Easy to insert in the slot. This kitchen helper makes you look like a professional chef. I particularly like the small dicing blade for green peppers, onions, tomatoes etc. Making salsa and sweet and savory cold sauces. Preparing ingredients for spaghetti, salsa and a line of different dips is unlimited. No more dips with chunks of peppers or tomatoes etc. that are too chunky and messy to bother making them. Easy to set up a tray with a variety of veggies, cheeses and meats for having a salad night at home or a buffet that looks like it was catered.
