This item hits all the high points. 1) detachable hood (hate hoods) 2. snap buttons (no time time to mess with zippers) 3.) sleeves are straight and can be rolled up (good for shorter arms) 4.) light weight (so many heavy coats these days). As to size, I'm 5'5', 120 and got the medium. Don't mind that it was a little roomy to accommodate a sweater. (Amazon recommended a large, so glad I didn't get it.)

This jacket lasted me two years of pretty consistent use in the PNW, which I suppose is pretty dang good for the price! This year, I went to zip it up but the zipper had been crushed somewhere along the way. The snaps aren't strong enough to hold it closed on their own, so I'll need a new rain jacket. It was good while it lasted!

Loved this jacket for providing dryness in rainy situations. Stays together, keeps you dry, keeps wind out, and is relatively warm for cooler days. However, the hood is a zip on and comes apart very easily! I used it for a trip to Ireland and often had to scramble to get the jacket on to beat the rain. Any pressure placed on the hood would make it come apart and, in essence, become useless . . . leaving you with no head covering. Would recommend the manufacturer replace the zipper with snaps if the intention is having a removable head covering.
