I needed a hat for a friend's funeral in a Catholic Church. I didn't want one that would draw attention to me but rather show respect to the family. This hat was the perfect choice. Well made, sturdy, stiff yet flexible fabric. A beautiful not-too-big bow on the side and lovely netting that can be worn down over the eyes or pushed up onto the brim of the hat (I wore it pushed up).
There's two snap clips and an elastic thin band inside to ensure the hat stays on. Tilt it a little over a on one side and pull your hair either in a neat chignon at the back, or a low curled pony.
It's a classic "Jackie Kennedy" look but modern. A little black dress, pearls and black sheer hosiery and black pumps = class and elegance! Buy this hat! I think it comes in other colors too!

good thing I'm handy- the veil on the hat came all bunched up and caught up in several stitches- I had to take it apart and redo it. After I did that it looked like the picture before it was all wadded up on top of the wool hat and ugly! It is really cute in the burgundy color.
