I bought this because a couple of reviewers said the thread matched DMC numbers. At first I didn't think that was the case with mine, but I have since discovered that most of the numbers do match with DMC. There are a couple that don't - for instance the white is labeled as E718, which is a Light Effects thread that is a shade of purple. It is a nice box for storing the thread and would do well for those just starting because of the variety of colors. The thread is not DMC quality, but not too bad. It does have a tendency to knot if you're not careful. The one I received contained way more white and black than I wanted, and the scissors aren't the best quality, but for the price I'm happy with my purchase.
