I got this because my dog won’t always go poo outside. But she never used it.

My dog hates snow, and she sometimes didn't want to go outside because of and go poo. I bought this as a back up that maybe this she could use this instead. seem like a great product but she ignored it but she also didn't go poo inside the house. I don't know.

Great idea, maybe faster shipping would be better since it's from california and I'm in michigan. Mine was dead upon arrival. There was no reviving it. Excellent customer service though.
Great for potty training in winter

I live in MN and our winter was too harsh to try potty training a 12 week old Italian Greyhound outside. I hated the idea of potty pads and when I found this it seemed like a perfect alternative. I kept it in my garage and it help keep accidents in the house to a minimum! A bit pricy but lasted almost 4 weeks for us before we had to re-buy
Works well!

Fresh Patch is useful and convenient in potty training our Miniature-Schnauzer puppy! We use it inside our home, in his fenced area, and placed on top of washable puppy pads. This product was recommended by the puppy's breeder, and we have been using it daily in our home for just over two weeks ago. With the arrival of our eight week old puppy, you can imagine the use this Fresh Patch Standard Size (15lbs or less) has had! Due to already having an older mature Miniature-Schnauzer in the home, our puppy has to be kept separated since we are awaiting the necessary vaccination period to be fully protected. This means no outside walks or bathroom breaks on our back lawn. As you know, per breeder's advice, the puppy is not allowed outside on the ground, nor mingling with his older sibling Miniature-Schnauzer. So...Fresh Patch it is! This product is highly convenient! The puppy is already familiar with using it, as the breeder had started potty training him with it weeks before his arrival! In the meantime, this product works has worked well and is durable! It arrived to our residence within four days. Fresh Patch is a compact patch of grass, in a waterproof box. This Fresh Patch with frequent daily use has lasted two weeks and three days. I wished I would have ordered another Fresh Patch sooner, as two weeks is pushing it with a young puppy and time has flown by! I can see how this might last a small mature dog longer since they are not peeing and pooing as frequently as a puppy! Be sure to pick up the solid waste quickly and gently from the grass to keep it in the best condition. Even with the many clean ups this Fresh Patch has had, it does not need to be watered. You can lightly mist it if need be. Remember dogs don't like walking on soaking wet grass to pee or poo! One thing in particular, keep an eye on your puppy as they will surely show interest in the patch, and begin to chew on the grass or pull on it. Even then, very durable. Be patient! With positive reinforcement, we encourage the puppy to stay off of it and distract him from it with toys or play time. If he is really persistent, then we remove it from his area for short periods of time. Puppies chew, so yes they will show interest in the box, but not for long if they are told no and given positive reinforcement! With that said, the box does holds up well. In case poo or pee comes in contact with the box, and it surely will. Glove up, grab a few paper towels, and wipe the sides down with puppy-safe cleaner or safe homemade cleaner periodically to freshen it up and keep it sanitary. I haven't had to do it too often, meaning lots throughout the day, as the puppy uses the Fresh Patch well. When the time comes, dispose of the Fresh Patch box in the trash. Also, you could compost the grass as well! Be sure to save money and use their Save 50% On Your Next Fresh Patch sticker when it arrives. Email Fresh patch a link or your Amazon review and receive your discount code. I do not know if these are included with each order or only after your second order, whichever look into it. One downside, Fresh Patch does not include a resuable tray for customers, as DoggieLawn does. Fresh Patch requires a separate purchase for the tray, but it should be included or as an option or at least with your first purchase! This will encourage repeat business and keep your customers happy! Overall, this product gets a thumbs up!
Very glad I found this!

This lasted a month, used it in my deck and even after a month no smell. It took a couple days of prodding to get my Cavapoo puppy to use it, I had had him for about 10 days before getting this and he was used to going in yard in an ex-pen; he did already understand what "go potty" meant from training him in the yard so he got what I wanted him to do. He tried to walk off of it several times without going when I knew he had to go, I would pick him up and put him back on a few times and tell him to go potty, sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't; but after getting him to do it a few times and giving him lots of praise and a "high value" treat, he started going there no problem, I could just open the deck door and not even go out with him, he'd go and then come back in for his treat. This is awesome on bad weather days or for very late night/early morning. Getting him to do #2 obit has been more challenging but we're getting there, sometimes he'll do it no problem, sometimes he sits by deck stairs insisting I take him to yard.
I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars bc of this issue (not necessarily the product's fault, I realize) and bc of cost and bc of one other issue: about 10-15% of the time, he stands right near the edge so that the pee actually goes onto the edge of the box and partially onto the deck. I've just been wiping it up so far, I have been meaning to figure out some other solution, it would be great if the company could come up with some sort of design to minimize this. Even when I have to occasionally wipe up a little, this is way better than going out in a muddy yard in the middle of a storm or having to venture outside 8 times a day (he's a puppy and sometimes it's that often) on an especially cold winter day.
