I just received the the travel kit this week so I can't speak to the durability but it seams well made. I noticed a few of the reviews from a year or two ago mentioned an unpleasant smell. The one I received has absolutely no smell, good or bad. I made the mistake a couple of years when ordering a travel kit from another manufacturer which was way too small. Everything I own and more will probably fit into this one. Great side pockets. I'm not sure about the tethered dual zippers on top, but that can be easily fixed once I've had it for awhile. For the price it can't be beat. Very happy!
