I love Christmas and I love outdoor Christmas lights. I put lights up on my house with a ladder, no problem, but the tree out front is a different story. This year, I got them pretty well entangle in the tree with most of the lights clumped on one side (haha!) and it looked so bad that I didn't plug them in and I ordered this Eversprout extension pole. In 15 minutes I was able to quite easily untangle the bad job I'd previously done, and then rehang the lights on the tree, EXACTLY HOW I WANTED TO WITHOUT ANY LOGISTICAL COMPROMISES. The tool is not only very effective, but it feels like it's good quality, in the hand. It's heavy enough that it feels like it's good quality, but not so heavy that it's at all difficult to wield. It's easy to extend or contract. It has nice foam grips. This will make putting the lights up and taking them down much easier, every year going forward, AND, I'm not limited as to where in the tree I can hang the lights (like I was when I was standing on a ladder with a broomstick.....). Can't wait for the sun to go down so that I can see my completed 2022 outdoor Christmas light setup!
Works for hanging lights on tall tree - at least lengthwise

My husband and I hang Christmas lights on our tall (35 feet tall) pine tree in front of our house. As time has went by and the try has grown, we've needed longer and longer poles to help with this task. This was the first time we've used this pole and found that it definitely has a longer reach than other poles we've used. It may not be extremely stable when extended all the way, but if we can use it this way while standing on a 20 foot ladder, to hang lights from the top of the tree and succeed -- it certainly works well enough for anyone else hanging lights! My husband's only compliant was the part that the lights actually rest on -- they tended to slip off of the rounded "hook" edges of this pole. That said, we had a similar pole that we took the top off and replaced this one with. I don't know if he would have eventually gotten the hang of the original top or if it would have proven difficult (and somewhat useless then), but as far as the pole goes for the length, it works! We were very glad we bought it and would recommend it to anyone who has to reach far to hang those lights!

First off, been using this pole for 2 years now, mostly Christmas lights, but also other things... The stiffness at full extension does NOT dissapoint. The clamps are a little too easy to use out of the box and can be bumped loose, I adjusted mine a bit and now they're perfect.
I will say that the hook is sturdy and wouldn't worry about it breaking, but the notches are a little shallow and unless you keep tension on your string, it has a tendency to hop off the hook. If you have a helper, not an issue, but doing it by myself is a little tricky. Not impossible, just tricky. But it's the same hook design as most poles, so I can't complain too much.
Overall, good value, would buy again

This extender is a very good constructed product. The hook on the end is perfect for hanging lights outside which I purchased it for. It is also handy for hanging my bird feeder, wind chimes or pretty much anything. It was a great purchase for me.

As shown in the picture, the end of the first pole received was mangled while the box it came in showed no sign of damage. Guess someone thought we wouldn't exchange it? Wrong. As for the pole itself, we used it to string lights on a very tall tree, and it wasn't easy as the string of lights kept slipping off the hook. The hook is too shallow to keep a good grip on the string of lights. They need to come up with some creative way of incorporating a clip into the hook to make this more useful.
