Overall, the Weeylite RB08P Video Conference Lighting Kit is a good value as a starter kit.

First of all, I would like to say the the description of the Weeylite RB08P is quite accurate in general, and it will work more than adequately as a compact video conference light for those working off of a laptop, or a desktop computer. It is a compact RGB light kit that comes well packaged. While the main light appears to be well made, the accessories that come with the light seem to be somewhat fragile, however, at this price point, it's not totally unexpected. There is a telescoping tripod included that does function as intended, but the locking mechanism is somewhat cheap, and I don't know how it will stand up over time. The light's tripod mount is made of plastic, and is not very adjustable, especially if you want to point it in a downward position. When compared side by side to my IViSii Gs, the lower build quality of the RB08P mount is very apparent, although the main body of the RB08P is metal, and seems robust enough to hold up over time.
The light function switches worked well, and the display screen is easy to read. The various lighting and modes function as described, except for one thing. I do a lot of night sky shooting and, although it is advertised to be able to adjust the light intensity from 1-100%, the light does not allow you to set the light intensity any lower than 10%. This is an important feature to have for long exposures when you want a very low light level, but it is also important to note that this is not one of the described uses for this light, so I am willing to give a pass. The battery life is more than adequate for my use, and the light can be charged at the same time it is being used as well.
The various modes seem to work ok, and the RGB adjustment is fairly easy to set, although, I cannot vouch for the calibration accuracy, it seems that all of the RGB lights I have used have a little bit different output when set at the same RGB settings. Nonetheless, it can be easily synced up with other lights with minor adjustments.
The light is small enough to fit easily on the hot shoe mount of a DSLR or Mirrorless camera, however, the provided adjustable mount is plastic and fiddly to keep tightened. I will probably not use it on the hot shoe very often, so it was not too much of a concern for me. Others may find it a bit annoying to have to continually readjust the mount.
The light output seems to be close to the specifications, and it is adequate for close in, indoor work. It also can work well as fill light when outdoors, as long as you are fairly close to the subject.
Overall, I believe the Weeylite RB08P Video Conference Lighting Kit is a good value for the audience it is intended for, and the accessories provided with the kit will get you up and running without having to spend anything extra. It can even augment your studio lighting, and work as fill light outdoors to a limited extent.

Because the Weeylite RB08P is being advertised merely as a Video Conference Lighting Kit, the product is beyond 5 stars. Everything you need right out of the box. Short tripod, larger tripod with extension, phone mount, and shoe mount. This thing will definitely light you up for your conference call no matter the lighting conditions. You have the ability to adjust the brightness and color temperature. I was able to get 2 solid hours out of a full charge on 100% brightness at 5200k. The charging took around 4 hours.
Now other uses. Obviously this can be used for much more than a video conference call. This is a handy little tool to have for photography especially if you shoot in low light or at night. It can be a great accent light or fill light. Same with video. I can put the shoe mount on the light and pop it on my camera for some good night video without having to blast my ISO. There are also pre programmed effects like lightning and emergency light. The color range and brightness it provides gives you endless uses! I would absolutely recommend this to others.

The media could not be loaded. Anyone whoever has done any kind of picture or cel phone video knows that getting the right light at the right time is a fight. To bright face washes out. Not light enough light features disappear or become frightening. Shadows sometimes can be crazy. LED lights seem to take care of that problem. From warm to cold superbright to super mood lighting. I have a problem with RGB lights, in that I always find they have some sort of weak link when it comes to the color spectrum. For my overhead lights, it's the blue range, that jumps abruptly from blue to lavender with no real in-between. For this light? No such thing.
This baby can get downright UNPLEASANTLY bright as you dial it up, and achieves strong saturation on every color I can think of. I will say it gets pretty toasty to the touch but that's to be expected considering how bright it gets.
I will say it doesn't seem like the battery can handle the heat for the most part. Unless you're shooting short-form content, I would make sure you have some sort of power source to keep this guy locked in, otherwise you're looking at it going down within a couple of hours.

The media could not be loaded. So I own quite a few of these RGB LED lights that are smartphone size and this is the cheapest and smallest. It's much smaller than I thought, which is a good thing - it's even more portable and even lighter.
Now turning it on I realised that it's much more powerful than I thought, I expected it to be less powerful since it's much smaller than my other lights, but it's not at least not massively noticeable.
So here are some of the things that I like about the product:
- Small & portable. Because it's so small I almost always have one of these in my camera bag since it doesn't take up much space at all.
- Very bright for the size.
- Built in battery. So you don't have to carry around extra batteries to power the light. I like it a lot no extra bits to think about. Last's just over an hour when using if on full brightness. The good thing is it can be charged while using it.
- There's a lot of different light effects in so you can use it much more creatively on a movie set or creating an interesting lighting effect on the set. Often you're limited by the space and time which this light defeats both. It's small and very quick and easy to use.
- I like that the buttons are bigger than usual which means easy to access and makes changing settings on the light much easier.
- Built quality. It feels quite a decent quality light. The metal is very strong and leaves a very professional finish, not also that it makes you feel that you got a good deal on the light and it should cost more.
- Colour accuracy. Now I don't have any scientific equipment to test this apart from my eyes and to my eye the light quality that's been produced is very high and I'm getting nice shots with it.
- If it's not obvious yet, it's dimmable and colour changeable, not just bi-colour but also RGB so you can get some really nice colours from the light. I'm using it a lot to light mu YouTube set and get a nice colour backlight or scene.
Some of the sides that I don't like that much:
- I wish it was a USB-C charging input, it's almost 2020 and everything should move from micro usb to USB-C :)
- Dimmable from 10%, I wish it went to 0 to 100 but it's not that big of a deal"¦
