Great LED panel on a budget. I gave Sutefoto another chance as their tube light it's been working great so far. However, I needed an LED panel for close ups, and this fits me perfectly.

The T18 is an interesting light. I've used it for a few days and here are my thoughts:

First, let's start with the negatives:

1. The build quality is a little light, which is to be expected for any light at this price point, so I definitely wouldn't want to put it through much abuse.

2. The removable barn doors are a nice feature. However, it only connects on the bottom and tends to slide off of the top of the light a bit, but not enough to be very problematic. The bottom barn door also tends to be obstructed by the mount sometimes.

3. It was a bit tough to mount the NPF battery. I had to kind of force it in.

4. The switch is small and sinks down below the outside border and can be a bit tough to manipulate.

5. The light is extremely color accurate at 5600k (more on that later), but according to my light meter, when set to 3200K it was giving me a reading of around 3800K. So not quite as warm as full tungsten.

Now, for the positives:

1. Extremely color accurate at 5600K. My meter gave a reading of between 5050K to 5600K and a color shift rating of green .002, meaning virtually no color shift. That's impressive.

2. Decent light output.

3. Water proof. *I didn't test this.

4. Light output is fairly even from 3200k to 5600k, meaning it lacks the terrible aspect of more brightness in the middle temperatures that a lot of cheap LED panels have.
5. Portable and easily powered with an NPF. Although, as with most lights, output is slightly dimmer on battery power.

Who is this light for? I think it would be a great light for beginning Youtubers, but it could have a few other uses as well. It would be a great backlight for video, and (at daylight temperatures) it would be a great light for small product videos. Given the fact that it's waterproof, I could also easily see myself sticking this compact light in a small pack for run and gun and documentary work.

The only light that I would be tempted to buy over this would be the SmallRig light of similar size, which is just a bit more expensive, but has light effects. However, the fact that the SmallRig light uses USB-C and not a standard power cable makes it not an option for me.

I was initially going to give this light 4 stars, but given the fact that you probably can't find something as good for the price point, I'm giving it a five. It's really piqued my interest in Sutefoto products and has made me want to try out some of their more expensive lights.

when I first turned it on I was skeptical about weather or not it would be bright enough. It great light that is very bright and makes you look amazing on video. I only got one but I think I'll be ordering another one just to give my YouTube videos more of a beauty room look. Overall I love the light and think it's a great addition

This product has done everything I needed for my lighting needs. I struggle with my product photography due to horrible lighting in my studio room but this product has helped me tremendously! It work greats on my canon camera and on its own. If you are in need of a lighting product look here!
