I bought a Hydrosleeve in 2020 and it's my favorite piece of running equipment. The fact that I'm not holding onto a bottle helps with my technique too!
The bladders that come with the order last a very long time. I just recently needed a replacement, emailed Hydrosleeve and they shipped me free replacements RIGHT AWAY - so I would definitely factor that in if the price is making you hesitate.

I bought the Hydrosleeve two years ago and it has been one of the best parts of my new outdoor running life.
This little gadget is the best design and capacity for a petite person like myself. After I realized all I needed is a little sip now and then, I wanted a way of carrying the minimal amount of weight while I run and then I discovered this guy"¦the rest is history.
It stays in place. It can take ice. Easy to wash and dry. Can be used for just a nice long walk somewhere - hands free!

I also bought this because, at the time, there was an assurance that the water bladders could be easily replaced. Two years later I couldn't find them sold separately anywhere, however, I used the contact form on the Hydrosleeve website to ask where I could purchase the bladder replacements. Before I knew it, the company's CEO ships out a couple to me - for free!!

Perfect for a 30-45 min run in this heat! Holds about a cup of water which is good to just refresh with sips on a run.

So I love the concept and have been running with my hydro sleeve for several months now. The only thing I'm really disappointed in is that I ordered the size for my upper arm, but as the months have gone by and I've started to put more muscle on, I now find it hard to close the band. I'm a female that has lost over 40 pounds of weight from running and the gym and I didn't expect my upper arms to change so much. I really wish the band allowed for adjustments so that you could get a one size fits most and the band could go from small to medium to large. (Not that I expect to need a large but it would be nice for those who might be in need.) The only option is to pay an additional 44 dollars (current Amazon price) for a new sleeve which doesn't make me happy. I would advise that you buy a size up to make room for any changes you might go through if you are on an intense workout routine. If it were not for the band, I'd give it 5 stars as it is a great idea and gives me just the amount of water needed and always stayed in place while running or Kangooing.

-UPDATE- Talk about customer care....so I left this review and the founder actually called me and is going to fix my problem. He is shipping me a medium and an extra bladder. (I only got one when I bought it the first time and I thought it only came with one bladder and 2 valves but I was wrong.) Apparently this is a start up company- not a mass produced item from some warehouse- and the founder actually cares about you getting the most from his product. You really don't see that type of care often. I am so impressed that I want to update my review. After speaking with him I found out that most people order the medium and even those who have smaller diameter arms will benefit from it. As such I would recommend that if you are thinking about a small that you instead get the medium.

With this correction, I expect to have a long life from my new Hydrosleeve and I now do recommend this product and this company.

I purchased this product in June 2019. I was a little skeptical that it would work well but it has been great!! It holds about 7 ounces of water. On longer runs (5-9 miles), I have to be mindful of leaving some more towards the end, I usually try to only take 1 sip per mile and usually run out before the end if it is 7-9 miles. For a 3-4 mile run, its perfect so I drink a few sips per mile. I have used it on several official races and its awesome, for those I put Gatorade and drink water at the water stations (although this was pre-Covid).
The zip style enclosure is very secure. And after you zip, you fold it over and velcro it so there is NO WAY it could leak from that part. The only time I ever had an issue was when I tried adjusting the mouthpiece while running and accidentally knocked it off. Then the water poured out. Lol But that was 100% my fault.
After 18 months of use, part of the zip enclosure started to pull away from the plastic. This doesn't cause it to leak or anything, but is annoying as it makes it difficult to open to clean it after I run. I contacted the company through their website and received an email response within a few hours (from the founder/CEO). After providing my address, they are sending out new bladders for me! I'm very impressed with the customer service.
Long story short, great product and worth every penny!
