I worked great until the plants grew taller and heavier. Plants ended up pulling spiral rods out of the ground enough that they toppled over. Won't use again for tomatoes. Prob try peppers next year.
Works Well

Used these for tomato plants in conjunction with a tomato cage. Worked weoat keeping plants upright. Must feed plant through as it grows. Definitely will buy again.
Aluminum or Steel?

At first, I was perplexed by some of the low reviews because I love the ones I got...so far, they work great and save a ton of space in my square foot garden beds. Some reviews state that they are hollow and alumnimum which is not what I received.
But then I realized that the material they are made from, evidently, varies. If you buy the green-colored stakes they are alloyed steel (sturdy.) These are the ones I bought; not hollow, and not aluminum. I noticed that most of the low reviews came from those who purchased the aluminum ones which are, well, aluminum and hollow.
So, I suppose if you wish for these to be sturdy enough for tomato plants, get the green/steel ones. If you just need them for lighter plants such as peppers, I suppose the aluminum ones might do the trick but why take the chance?

I got these for my rubber plants. These are fantastic!! I've used several types of plant support in the past but these blend right in and you don't see them. They are sturdy and the twists make it easier to support the plant.
Nice and tall for indeterminate tomatoes

Nice and tall. Better price than big box store and I don't have to drive to pick up at almost $5 per gallon gas. Perfect for what I need. I guess I need to figure out what the little holes at the top are for... ?? Maybe to trellis if I place many in a row and join with wire. That could be handy for beans. That would save $$ on trellis.
