I received the formicarium and put it all together and right away the ants started digging. One thing I noticed recently is the formicarium is air tight. Moisture was starting to accumulate on the walls. I didn't notice any air holes. I drilled really small holes along the top edge of the walls.

The package came in in perfect condition, there's a lot of bubble wraps took me a while to take it out.
All extra parts came in with a label, i wont be asking the question, WTF is this one?
The sands came in zip lock bags which i though wouldn't be enough to fill it, but boy was i wrong.
It also came with instruction on how to care for ants and what to do to put them in there and how to feed them.
Worth every penny.

Well made and easy to use. I wish the tunnel area was on three sides as to give the ants more room to dig. Came with everything listed. It does not have ventilation holes, so I hope it's not necessary. This is our first ant farm. My son loves it.

I like the wall in the back where the ants can be seen tunneling through the sand, but there really is no ventilation. I drilled 4 small holes around the top of each side, but that is not sufficient. It really holds a lot of moisture.
