I bought these for my Chevy 2500 to haul kayaks when I am pulling the Tavel trailer. I have a tool box in the bed and was lured by the prospect of these working without moving the toolbox. That is not the case which is a disappointment (see photos). In fact I wonder if these work with any toolbox since my 2500 bed is wider than a standard 1500 (62 inches interior measurement). So if you're thinking that this will fit with your bed toolbox- good luck.

On the plus side. I was mildly impressed with the gauge of the metal tubing. Seems nice and stout. The weak link will be the clamps. We'll see how they hold up.

I installed these on my 2011 F-150 6.5' bed. They're sturdy enough for what you'd normally do with a 1/2 ton truck... The bed rail clamps are ok, but it's far better to drill holes and install them properly. They're too much of a pain to disconnect and move, yet not strong enough to reliably keep the racks where you want them. One big draw of the clamps is that it doesn't damage your truck... well, tightening these clamps properly so that your racks don't fail, means that the rack base will be crushing the plastic top of your bed rail much more visibly than a pair of holes would. If you don't have a plastic top, then it will surely destroy your paint. If you simply need to take your racks on and off frequently, I'm telling you drilled holes and bolts are much easier. I've lived with both.
Also, those clamps faded in the sun and lost all of their black color in (not exaggerating here...) 1 week...! Sure, it's rather intense Nevada sun, but 1 week...
Again, for the price, they work well if you're not looking for looks, quality, or strength... I enjoy them for putting the occasional long stick good up there, kayaks,... well that's about all they're good for... If I need a whole unit of lumber or anything large or heavy I take my F450 flatbed.
Most of the negative in this review is directed towards those clamps. As far as the rack itself, it's ok... not the strongest or prettiest. but it's a universal fit for small trucks so... can't expect too much.

I'm impressed by the sturdy and solid construction of these racks. They were easy to install and came with the hardware to mount with either the very strong C-clamps with two heavy duty bolts securing each clamp OR the hardware for drilling and more permanent installation, your choice. I use mine to securely haul our canoe 🛶 for adventures off the beaten path and it has performed perfectly.

My only criticism is that the painted steel tubing of the sides and cross pieces had several deep scratches in the finish. Knowing that I would be using and abusing this rack in the wilds of Maine I wasn't too upset by those scratches as I've already started making some of my own but if your use will be lighter or if you want a more perfect "showroom" finish you'll probably want to give it a good look over inspection when you unbox. Otherwise I am extremely happy with mine and highly recommend.
