I recently had two successive hip replacement surgeries and this was very effective and fit well even as I walked/hobbled around. My only complaint is rather picky but still valid. The loop buckle where the stretchy adjustable strap goes through is affixed with the same stretchy material. Once frozen the cold pack is rather stiff and takes some pressure on the strap to wrap it around the hip. The loop buckle will invariably twist and cinch the strap and make it hard to adjust further. If they used a stiffer non-stretch fabric the loop would not twist. Not a major issue, but an issue nonetheless.

I do not like that the part that the strap goes through spins around. Hard to explain and perhaps there is a purpose, but if so I don't know what it is.
