A lot of fun in a patriotic package!

I bought this for my military husband, who thinks kite flying is boring and for little kids. We went to Jockey's Ridge in the Outerbanks of North Carolina to test it out. The assembly took a bit longer than our other kites, though not hard. There are a lot of pieces. Once assembled, this eagle really did soar! I wish I had gotten my camera out faster, but unbelievably, three bald eagles flew by in formation. They were probably as stunned as we were. As my husband ran up the dune, one child said "here comes America!" Needless to say, it was a hit and my doubting husband had fun. The disassembly took a bit longer than the other kites, as well, but it fit back in the carrying pouch nicely. Can't wait to use it Memorial Day weekend and 4th of July at the beach!

My boys loved this kite. They used it every day on our vacation to Maine. Others were asking where we got it. It held up well and flew very high. Of course we had a strong beach winds to support it, I don't know how it would do in a park not on the coast. But it served us well. We ended up passing it along to the little girl next-door to our rental. The eagle will continue to soar above the beach!

This is a really fun kite to fly! After figuring out how to put it together the first time, the rest have been a piece of cake. My eight yr old, her friends, and even myself, love to fly it! It gets so high in the sky, it's actually pretty amazing to look at. It is a sturdy kite and has withstood really strong ocean winds. I don't know how it flies away from the beach though. For the price we have already enjoyed so much time together flying it! The only thing I recommend is to buy extra kite strings to have on hand. Since it gets so high up, I have found that by the time we finally have it reeled in the string is usually a mess and not worth the sanity to try and unravel. That being said, 8 yr. olds have usually reeled it in. All and all a great purchase and tons of fun!
