This dual burner cooktop worked very well for all my cooking needs. In 20 minutes I had hard boiled eggs and it easily simmered a quart pot of made-from-scratch wonton soup. The larger burner accommodates a good size skillet. I used it to brown smoked sausage with red cabbage for a skillet supper, sunny-side up eggs with sausage for breakfast and heated gyro meat and pita for a lunch sandwich. It looks nice and the sealed burners clean up easily. It worked just like my regular electric stove top and will be a welcome addition for extra burners when company comes. It's a dandy appliance.

This thing is great and allows me to cook meal while my house is being repaired. I only wish it got a tad bit hotter to cook my fish faster. Other than that it cooks my eggs timely and steams my veggies well.

I purchased this because I started a remodel on my kitchen and because projects like this never go as planned I was thinking in adance of mitigating my inconveniences.
This hot plate has potential but it works best when you use one burner or the other. If you use both at the same time then it seems as if you're sharing the temp of one burner between the two, instead of each burner having its own temp. Which can be annoying if you need both burners at full capacity. Also the temps don't seem like it's gradual control as advertised it's more like off/simmer/high so you have to play around with it to get it right or close to what you want. Clean up is easy, I just spray a little vinegar/water on a kitchen towel and wipe down. I have noticed that some of the black color wipes of during cleaning but it hasn't affected the operation. It looks good and feels durable.
Overall it's good but for the temp problems I stated they should knock off $10 or fix the problem.

I used my hot plate for the first time last night. I was attempting to water bath can on the larger burner, but it was taking too long to heat up and I switched to the stovetop. I did, however use the smaller burner for a smaller amount of water, and it seemed to do fine. I think there will just be some trial and error on how hot the burner gets at different adjustments of the dial. I believe it will work fine for just wanting additional burners for cooking for big meals. Probably not for water bath canning though.
