Motors tend to get HOT

Overall I like the Yacht.
The instruction did not show where to place the antennas and I needed to Google the boat model to find a you tube video of someone unboxing one of these boats. Until today, I had never used an RC boat so I needed help finding where everything's went. One thing that I do not like is the antenna mount was not glued straight up and down or at a slight rear angle. It almost touches the boat. I will need to lightly sand the antenna mount so I can install the antenna.
The boat wants to angle to the left. It will make sharp turns. I wish it would reverse.
After several minutes after high speed use, the motors will get HOT. This will happen even though you also use it at low speed to. Let them cool down for a while before using it again.
One of the wires shorted out on the left motor. When this happened, the boat would only turn to the right. To get it back to shore, as it was coming around to face the shore, I "gunned it " to help it get to shore faster. It helped that there was a slight breeze blowing across the lake. I did notice the the tape on the side of the boat is starting to peel from the top.
The controller gives an audible " out of range" and " low battery " warning. This works WELL.
The boat comes with a 2000 mAh 8.4 volt battery. I do not know how many minutes it lasted, but driving it slower will get you more time.
Buy an EXTRA battery. This will get you more play time.
I will be adding a small flag on a wire to the back of the boat. This will make it easier to see when it is way out there. The boat is small, even though it is a Yacht. But the lake I was at is several hundred feet across.
