No factory warranty; remote needs work

I replaced a poorly designed Jensen JWM6A in wall unit with this after a lot of research.
My needs included HDMI(ARC), which no automotive unit contains. Also, I wanted a remote that has actual buttons, not bubbles.
During install, I removed the small red lens and opened up the hole with a countersink bit to better access the IR receiver (LRD), which corrected the vast majority of the remote issues that others are complaining about. The problem is not the remote, it's how the fascia is designed.
With the exception of CD randomizing playback, all functions are available and work nicely. Balance, treble/bass are available by pushing the volume knob.
The remote is not well laid out, but is serviceable.
However... the up volume on the remote quit working on our last outing. I contacted the manufacturer, who stated they don't sell their product on Amazon, and subsequently don't honor any warranties.
But to their credit, they are sending a new replacement remote. Kudos to iRV Technologies!

Easy Install

We needed to replace the IRV deck in our Travel Trailer. Since this was the same model that came with the trailer, it was such an easy install...same wiring, same fit! It worked perfectly the first time we turned it on.
Good stuff for the money
Great product works as it should.✓ Verified Purchase•August 3, 2023
This product seems to be working very well. And so for I happy with it.
Works on 12v not 110. Great upgrade for the older camper stereo.

This is a great upgrade in features over the Jenson brand that came factory in my RV. I like being able to have a HDMI for the upgraded tv to be able to enjoy the movie picture quality. I also really like the Bluetooth connection so that I can keep my phone in my pocket and not have to walk over to my phone on a cord every time I want to skip a song while listening to music.
I only have 3 gripes so far after 2 camping trips. The first is that when you power off, the speaker zones don't come back on as you left them. You have to select what speaker zone you want each time. Trivial complaint. The second is that the clock for the time does not seem to keep properly. My Rv has 400w of solar and 300ah of batteries, so my 12v system is always on since I don't worry about draining batteries, and yet the time is never correct. Maybe it's just my unit? And last complaint is the sound quality. Last year I had upgraded my speakers to brand name speakers and I have enjoyed my music and movies in the RV. Sound was great. Not so much with this unit. The "deepness" of the sound is just not there with the iRV. Not horrible by any standard, just leaves you wanting more. It starts out good at the low range of volume, but just doesn't produce in the mid to high range of volume. It makes me want an external amplifier, except that this is not set up to have 6ch amp. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, I rate this as a solid 6. I would buy it again, but I might consider spending just a few more $$ if I could find another one that has better sound quality. But for the features that it has, it's still worth the $170.
