This was the 3rd small tongue drum I bought that was supposed to be in the Key of C major. This one actually is tuned in C major; my chromatic tuner showed all notes being in close tune, within 5 cents. This is great for travel, including camping. It would be nice if they could fit 11 notes in this, but 8 notes are enough to play many recognizable tunes. The soft case has a bit of a garish design, apparently geared towards children, but is well made and fits nicely. This drum is far better than the 6" models with rubber edges.
