I had forgotten about wild rice but remembered recently and ordered this bag. Made some today and it was delicious. I'm focused on getting plenty of potassium in easy to consume food sources and this sure fits the bill, along with loads of other minerals and nutriments.
I don't know the glycemic index but I can eat close to two cups at a time without getting the sleepies. Wild rice has the 2nd highest protein to carb ration after oats.

I love wild rice & I'm partial to this rice. I'm from MN so am familiar with its quality. I use it in soup rather than pasta. It's great in a summer wild rice salad and I use in lieu of pasta.
