The representative Jessie that answered my email regarding needing service for the scooter. Jessie was prompt to send out a new charger and then provided the information to send back the scooter for repair. It only took about 10 days to get the scooter back and it's working great. Would highly recommend this company and big shout out to Jessie
Works for very short daily commute, poor battery life

Taking this from five stars down to four.
The scooter itself has been perfect for what I use it for! The speed is accurate, and down hills I can even push about 20mph.
However, the battery life is HORRIBLE. My workplace is a little under 4 miles away, almost entirely downhill. It takes up to 60% of my battery! I have to charge it while I'm at work, because the ride home takes up almost 100% of the battery.
On top of this, after a little under 2 months of use, the motor will occasionally slow down very suddenly before picking up again. I'll be going 15mph, then almost get thrown off when the scooter decides to abruptly slow or stop. However, this issue is rare, and swwms to only happen when the road gets gravel-y, and only lasts a second or two. I did get into one accident because of this issue, during a very light rain (a snow storm was coming, but hadn't hit yet). The front headlight is also extremely dim, to the point of being almost useless, so I've had to mount a light on the front.
On the plus side, the scooter otherwise works great! My accident didn't seem to damage anything aside from cosmetic appearance, and it still reaches its full speed without issue. I can ride in pouring rain with zero problems, and the handling for turns is VERY GOOD, even when going fast!
Thus scooter has also been very friendly for my disability! One of my legs doesn't work very well, yet I've had no issues with this scooter that impact my condition. Standing on this scooter is easy, and I feel supported even without a seat.
Overall, I'd say it's worth the money! Just be sure to keep an eye on the battery, and maybe get a mounted light.

I was impressed by the quick turnaround and the follow up to see if it was back to me and to see if I liked it and it was all working properly
Solid entry level scooter, but get the 7.5ah

This is my first foray into the world of e-scooters. I wanted something not too expensive around the $300 mark, with decent speed and range. This scooter was just that on sale, and I opted for the 5.0ah version because it was a bit cheaper. Takes about 20 minutes to assemble out of the box, and mine came with 3/4 battery. At just under 200lbs, this scooter will reach the top advertised speed of 15.5mph (25kph) on the max speed setting, and even with a decent headwind only dropped to about 13mph. This doesn't sound too impressive if you're used to driving speeds, but for myself that's about equivalent to a full running sprint. On two small wheels, it feels pretty fast. Range is pretty good, but not the 9-12 miles as advertised. Might be a typo (either intentional or not), but the manual states 8-12km! range. I got just under 5 miles on my first range test, and that was with a almost full battery and I still had 1 battery bar left. That was also done almost exclusively on the top speed setting as well, so not too shabby. Overall, pretty satisfied with this unit so far. Build quality is pretty good. The solid tires are nice, as I don't ever have to fill them or worry about flats 3 miles form home, but you do feel every bump. One thing to note is make sure the metal rod that screws into the folding latch isn't too loose or tight. Too tight and it can't unlatch, too loose and a big bump will cause the handlebar to fold as the catch is jostled upwards which happened on my test run. However that was my fault and I don't blame the scooter's design for it, as I had loosened the rod earlier. Lights work, but not incredibly bright. Good for being seen at night, not so much for 'seeing' anything yourself. The screen is very, very bright; almost bothersome at night but not a huge deal. Easy enough fix with a piece of tape over it to diffuse the light if necessary. Acceleration is okay, not too slow or fast. Takes about 5 seconds to get to max speed (25kph) with the 4kph start. For experienced scooter riders, this unit may seem a bit boring. Too slow, not enough range, etc. But as a starting scooter for about $300 when I got it, I can recommend it as it certainly made me smile when I first got going. Only thing I wish I had done differently was spend the extra $20 for the 7.5ah version instead of the 5.0ah, but I was being too cautious on my first scooter purchase and tried to minimize risk with this guy. Overall, happy with the purchase and would recommend but note the range disparity from advertised and get the 7.5ah version instead.
