We have a 15" Kosmosky tongue drum custom built in Russia. It is a magnificent work of art with incredible sound and tongues on both sides. I wanted a stand to complement the drum and keep it secure and easily available to play. We have 7 cats and they feel it is their right to go anywhere and do whatever they want. The drum sits on the Meinl stand and has never been upset or moved by any of the cats. That is a good real life test.
It costs more than other alternatives but in this case you get what you pay for and for my money this is the best tongue drum stand available.
