Keeps your cat’s claws away

I was a little skeptical about this because I didn't wanna have to put this all around my entire house forever, but once my cat learned he would get stuck to a certain area if he tried to scratch, he never bothered it again! I've cut these sheets into smaller strips/pieces instead of going around the bends of furniture, like the arm of my couch, because if your furniture is oddly shaped the tape won't lay perfectly and will be very noticeable when you walk by. Overall a good product!

Nothing kept my cat (ragdoll) away from my upholstered headboard. I tried sprays, aluminum foil, and moving her to the cat tree -- nothing worked.
I've had these on my headboard for a couple of months now, and the cat has learned to stay away! She was very curious went I placed them -- she pawed at it and then ran away when she felt how sticky they were.
Initially, I only placed them in the areas she tried to climb or scratch, but she just went around them to find new places to scratch or jump. Then I covered most of the headboard, and she stopped completely. The headboard looks ridiculous right now (some of the pieces I left the paper backing on). I will take them off one by one to be sure she doesn't test it out again.
Other reviews mentioned their cats licked these -- mine has no interest to come anywhere near them.

I took in a young stray kitten, who's turned out to be the most destructive kitty I've ever had. Adorable, but destructive!
One of his favorite things to do was to shred the fabric linings from under upholstered furniture, burrow inside, then tear out all the foam & padding. Aaaack!
I replaced the destroyed furniture with a very nice used set, & to deter the cat, bought this Panther tape.
I turned the furniture upside down, cut each piece of tape into 3 long strips, then lined the entire underneath perimeter w/ it. I pretty much needed the entire pack, though do have one piece left.
Kitty watched intently as I did it. Uh-oh.
But guess what? He won't go near it, and won't even go underneath either the couch or the chair!

This tape definitely works and the cats don't like it. That's the good news. The not-so-good news is that because it's so adhesive, depending on your sofa/chair fabric, it can pull the nap off, too, when removing. Be sure and test it first on an inconspicuous place. We ended up buying 3M "delicate surface" tape and putting that first on the sofa fabric with the Panther tape over it. Of course, you don't get the see-through affect, but it still works that way.
