I can't yet speak to the durability of this because of the short time I've had it, but I have to say, its' a great kite! The design is terrific and, well, it's a kite! I can't imagine there will be any issues with flying it as my dad has one similar in every respect but for the design and we have flown that one. It's quick to take flight and flies really high and it's a lot of fun to get back to a childhood activity. I live close to several beaches and I'm just waiting for the hot summer to end so I can bring it out there for a launch. For what it is, the price point, hours of fun and the great, American look/feel of the Eagle, I recommend it and don't think you'd have any regrets.

They kids get very excited seeing this kite. The stability is ok-ish, not the top notch, but hey it's a pretty cheap kite. Stability is good enough to have fun with kids.
The only disappointing thing is the durability of the tip of the "head". When the kite falls (it falls "eagle head down") it tears fabric at the top very easily, and in just several falls the frame sticks out. I had to sew it back myself and put a patch. I wish they put some durable piece of thick cloth on that exact spot.

I bought two of these and for $10 each we are really happy with them. The ripstop nylon is crinkly and loud but the design flies outstanding. It was 103* today and cooled to 80s in the evening with 2-3mph breeze on the ground and a little heavier thermals I think up higher. Zero issues taking flight. You can "˜pump' these to get them to move around. They're loud when flying but less so up all the way. They look like Turkey buzzards in flight. Pretty cool. When landing them in low wind they just floated down like a feather. No nose dive catastrophe. I'm not sure yet with heavy winds but I'll be getting several more for nieces and nephews.
